Replaces pump for older Reef Octopus 2000S-HOB
I used this pump to replace the pump that failed on my 8-10 year old Reef Octopus 2000S-HOB skimmer. As noted by another reviewer this pump will not work with the venturi elbow on the original skimmer. You must purchase the BH2000 Upgrade Venturi Elbow for AQ2000 S Pump (SKU: ROP-OTPAQ2000-KIT) from CoralVue. With this pump and the kit my skimmer is good as new.

Broken parts
Came with broken parts out of the box. Things are jammed up in there box had a little damage to it. I put a review earlier on it and I forgot to put the other part on it so if all these parts are replace, I’d be very happy. just got the part today.

Fit my skimmer perfectly
saved me a lot of money over replacing the whole skimmer once my pencil Urchin bit through the electrical cord on my previous pump.

Replaced my old reef octopus skimmer pump with this model. Perfect fit! Works just like my original pump. Very quiet too!

Not replacement for the 1000s
I hoped this would replace my 1000s, but will not. I had to return it. Looks like I'm paying shipping. I've ordered a whole new skimmer, a HOB 1000s. I hope this one don't arrive with a broken shaft, which is what happened on my first one. I can make the first one work, but wake up sometimes, and it's jammed and stopped. I just need one good pump, and I'll have 2 skimmers, I can switch back and forth, I hope. Not very happy with this companies customer support.....non existant really
