Excellent accessory!
Very nice accessory without the name brand price! The shell of the grinder is light weight and the blades are a very strong and sturdy stainless steel. It’s easy to assemble and use and fits my kitchen aid mixer perfectly.

Not as durable as the Kitchenaid version - beware if processing wild waterfowl
I was looking for replacement blades for my Kitchenaid meat grinder. In my search, I saw that this set really wasn't much more than buying new blades, so I thought I'd try it out. It's not as solid as the Kitchenaid version. It just doesn't seem as solidly built. We use the grinder to process wild waterfowl for snack sticks. Occasionally, we come across a bb that we missed when cleaning the birds. The Kitchenaid blades have handled it in the past just fine. Within the first 15 minutes of grinding, both blades ended up being broken when it encountered a bb. Since both blades were out of commission, I reverted back to my old Kitchenaid grinder and was able to process the rest of our batch without any problems. So, for light occassional use, this will probably be fine. Anything other than that - you may want to get the original.

Pleasantly surprised - get you one.
After years of using a hand grinder (family heirloom from the 1800's no less) I finally decided to harness the power of my mixer and try this grinder. I've only used it once to grind a mixture of sirloin and re-hydrated pellicle from a dry-aged NYS loin roast. It performed without a hitch. There is a bit of finessing required to get the "cap" the right tightness - too loose and meat / juice will force it's way out, and too tight and the parts will actually seize......Design of the cuter is ingenious - you can't put it in backwards :) The fact that it comes with a "spare" is a plus. The grind was very "complete" - did not have to fuss with any of the meat going in, very little didn't grind (unlike my hand grinder)Clean up was delightfully simple - some hot water and a few scrubs and it was like new.I think if it had no issue grinding this up it will have no issue with just about anything else. I may ever want to grind.

Scary plastic shards. Not entirely dishwasher safe.
This is advertised as being dishwasher safe, but that's not entirely true. Most parts are dishwasher safe, but there are a few small steel parts that must be hand washed. The disturbing thing, which is the main reason for my low review, is that if you take a look inside, you'll notice little shards of plastic hanging off, waiting to find their way into your food. I contacted the manufacturer about this and, to their credit, they were super-responsive and sent me a brand new one a soon as they saw the pictures. The bad news: The new one has exactly the same issues.

A piece of crap do not throw your money away on anything from this company
this equipment is a piece of crap do not waste your money I repeat do not spend one penny on it it is horrible to customer service when the company is horrible they lie to you they steal your money it keeps saying they're going to fix it they came with missing parts the workmanship is crappy. Ground one pound meat in it already started smoking and heating up I'm sure the gears are sharing off after I got through with 3 lbs because it was so hot I could barely touch the body. Worst piece of equipment I have ever brought you are throwing your money down the toilet if you buy this I tried to warn you
