A must – have especially for ocean and tidal enthusiasts
I just bought something I hope I never have to use. But isn’t that what insurance is all about? This Nautilus GPS emergency beacon is something I will never do without on an open dive, especially in tidal waters. I also recommend it for surfers, paddlers, kayakers, and strong swimmers who think they can beat a rip current. What happens if they can’t? They activate their GPS beacon. Order 2 CR123A photo batteries when you buy this. It comes without batteries.

Failed after a total of 21 dives over 6 months !!
Completed 14 dives on livaboard in Egypt in January, no probs, completed 5 shore dives in Egypt in June, no probs, 3 shore dives in Mexico August Failed. Water has almost filled the battery compartment rendering the unit useless just in time for trip to Galapagos. I have returned unit to supplier requesting refund as you are unable to request a replacement on amazon! Allegedly a refund will be issued on receipt of the failed unit....its only been three weeks since I handed it over to UPS ...`I wonder when I will get a refund :o(

a voir !

Weak penetration through weak point
After owning the unit for 21 months I’ve discovered it has water in it from what looks like a small crack in the hinge. This unit has only ever moved from its storage box to my wetsuit pocket and lived a very protected life. There is not a scratch on it besides the small crack. I’m disappointed in the lack of durability for a safety device. I have now found two of my friends who have the same problem. First photo is the crack, second photo is where the water is, video shows water inside.
