Antenna has a relatively small footprint, and ample cable length to position it wherever it will receive the most channels but that's where the good points of this antenna ends. Regardless of where the antenna was placed, it could not pick up more than half of the available channels in the area, and was very very finicky of position. In all fairness, it was better than no antenna at all, but not by much.Gave up with with the antenna after much playing around with position and purchased a different antenna, also non-amplified, and had no problems picking up all channels in the area without having to muck about with placement. Would not recommend this RCA antenna.

I installed it high on a window facing out away from trees at the very top, and easily got 60 CHANNELS!!!

No cable costs, I have over thirty free TV channels.

This antenna works great. Even before it was mounted properly I was receiving channels. I'm pretty far from the transmitters, about 40 miles. This works as well as one I paid much more for from a 'big box' hardware store.

I tried this antenna for a month or so and it is not good. Advertises as 45 mile range, but Im only 4 miles from a tower and do not get consistent signal. Just the wire with no antenna attached gave just as good as a signal. This is made too cheaply.
