Best soldering iron I have ever had. I have had many over the past 40 years. What a difference this makes. Heats up super fast and maintains the heat. My soldering improved 1,000,000%. It was expensive and I took a chance. Very glad I did. Worth every penny!

You can’t go wrong; tips are pricey but this is a professional grade unit and it’s worth the expense.

Unit stopped working after a few weeks. I contacted JBC customer support, they said to send the unit in. After a month of back and forth emails they determined that I was using 3rd party tips and that caused the power supply to go bad and so my warranty was void. I only had the tips from the unit they sent me. Now they won't send back the unit or refund the money and I have to file small claims. Terrible company, terrible products.

I purchased this JBC solder station after having a massive debacle with an Aixun T420D station that I bought for myself. Christmas was coming and my Mother was trying to get me a gift ordered. I had been researching solder stations and settled on buying an Aixun T420D. It arrived and out of the box immediately started cooking the tips! After a ton of back and forth, I managed to get a refund. I almost immediately purchased this genuine station after I got my money back and could not be happier with it. I do a lot of smd stuff repairing game consoles and other consumer electronics and it works beautifully for that. The unit is sturdy, the screen is clear, it heats up fast and holds temps seemingly well. I have seen some people say that it feels like its a nice plastic in their reviews, but I think its some kind of light weight metal, maybe an aluminum or pot metal casting. The unit was not cheap, but after getting NO reply from Aixun, I needed to be sure the manufacturer would stand by me. So far, I have been in steady contact with JBC for tips and information related to my station! Its really easy to use, and works incredibly well! The soldering station is a great buy if you are looking to use JBC style tips and have support if something goes wrong.

Super nice solder iron. The best I have ever used. Great quality and really easy to use. Warms up to the temperature in seconds avoiding long waiting times. Also, you can vary the heating temperature which makes it a complete instrument for soldering different types of electronics. Really, a good buy.

The best tool on my repair bench. Why wasn't I introduced to these years ago. Swapping tips while hot, and hot in 5 seconds. Incredible.
