Design Toscano 1780-1825 Maria Paulin Borghese as "Venus Victorious" Bonded Marble Statue

I bought this as a gift for my wife, who had inherited a smaller version of this statue that her mom had purchased in Rome many years ago. Unfortunately, the original statue fell of of a shelf and shattered several years ago, so I purchased this as a replacement.The detail and beauty of this statue is beautiful and is exactly as pictured, if not better. My wife is very pleased, which makes me happy.

Was disappointed with the size of the product.I was taught i was buying the larger version.If the box wasn't thrown away I would have return the statue.

Beautiful statue

Although this items is described as a Toscano product, the bottom of statue lists it as "Veronese Design, made in China". It is missing a lot of the detail such as flowers or her hair. I believe it may be a copy of this Toscano item. I returned this and went to the Toscano webpage and ordered this item instead. It was also less expensive than the Amazon's offer.

ich habe mehreren kleinen Statuen von Toscano/Veronese, die aus Marmorharz sind sehr schön, die anderen nicht wirklich. Das Modell hier ist nicht schneeweiß, eher antikweiß - ich merke den Unterschied mit anderen auch von Toscano, trotzdem... recht schön.

Although I like this statue, I'm disappointed that it's not a true Design Toscano item but a Veronese Design - made in China product. It's not as detailed or vibrant, although it is attractive. Amazon should update this listing to indicate you will not receive a true Design Toscano product, and should charge less. It would be too expensive for me to order from Design Toscano directly like another disappointed reviewer did since I live in Canada, so I'll keep this, but I'm now wary that Amazon is not selling items as described.
