Hot CherryRed Denim EYE cherry pit pillow

I am quite disappointed in the HOT CHERRY Red Ultra-Suede Yoga EYE cherry pit pillow that I purchased as a Christmas gift. I have used the Hot Cherry pie pillows for a couple years now and loved them. This is my first purchase of the eye pillow.As usual, when the eye pillow was used, we placed it on a paper towel on the microwave (1100w) plate (yes, it rotates) and heated at the lowest setting/time since we test to see what setting/time is best for our microwave as instructed. This pillow should be able to heat up to a minute for our microwave according to product guidelines. Since 30 seconds didn't warm it enough, we upped to 45 seconds. We used the 45 seconds setting a few times but the pillow cooled too quickly. We decided to try 1 minute. This seemed to be perfect. We used the pillow multiple times at the same setting for one minute. The last time we used it, by 45 seconds, we smelled a burnt popcorn like smell and quickly stopped the microwave. The pillow, however, was scorched.Hot Cherry company has a disclaimer on their site that says they are not responsible for burnt or scorched pillows. I am sad to say that I will probably not purchase/recommend their products any longer as it appears the newer products don't seem to hold up as well as the older ones.

I have terrible migraines and TMJ pain. I had been searching for a reusable hot compress and came across this one. The cost was more than I had wanted to pay but I felt that if it worked, it would be worth it. What I like the most is the weight of it. It's very light and feels comfortable lying on my forhead. The material is a smooth denim and quite soft to the touch. The inside contains cherry pits that have been washed and treated. They heat up in the microwave quickly and once hot, provides moist heat therapy. They don't seem to hold in the heat as well as well as I had hoped. The worst issue I have is the smell. When room temperature, it smells bad. When heated, the smell is almost unbearable and the scent lingers for awhile. For this reason, I can't recommend it fully. It works for the purpose it was meant for, but is more expensive than others and the scent is undesirable. I am hoping that a few spritzes of body spray will help. Time will tell..

I wasn't sure at first when I got it and felt the price I paid was too high for it. It felt the beads they use were way too heavy for my forehead since that is the reason why I got it for my migraines but I wanted to give it a chance. I love the fact that you can machine wash it and it came out really nice. I used it that night and I was very impressed with it and really glad I bought. Very worth the price and it was perfect weight for me.

I love this product. The fabric is high quality and the pits heat up nicely. It’s very comforting and the small size is easy to place in the right spot like for an ear ache. However, I took off four stars because I’ve had it with harassing company emails asking for a review. Not that I mind giving a review, but they pitifully describe themselves as just a small operation starting on the ground floor with just a few employees. The last email I got says that we are a women owned and operated business. I don’t care. But I do appreciate their offer to be of service should the bag of pits explode, etc.

Kind of bumpy cause of the cherry pits & I don't like the smell when heated.Doesn't retain the heat as long as I thought it would. Someone else may like it more than I but I won't get another.I have changed my mind about this product.I should have given it more of a chance. It no longer smells bad to me, doesn't really smell much at all now.I didn't like the bumpy feel either but it doesn't bother me now, it is still bumpy but seems less bumpy. I don't know why. Also I wish it retained the heat longer but it is better than nothing so I just reheat it another 10- 30 seconds.I still think it is too expensive but out of necessity I may get another.I apologize to anyone influenced by what I said in my first review.
