Way Cool
I'm new to indoor gardening and even more so to growing plants in dirt as opposed to aerogardens. These are my first fabric pots ever and I don't know why nobody thought of this decades ago. It's a relief to not have to mess with pots and it makes the plants lighter too. If I want these in a tray, and I want several to fit, I can mush-shape it this way or that to make it fit. If I want to give a good soak all I have to do is pick up the entire bag and plop it in the sink to soak up water from the bottom. Ditto bottom watering in an outer pot or tray. Draining, ha, forget about it-- no problem. Want a shallower pot? Just roll down the top like pants cuffs, but upside down, like i did in the attached picture with cilantro and basil. That's the gallon size. I'll go deeper with the tomatoes. Should you drop one it clearly will not break. If you want to relocate your plants you can carry several at a time by using the handles. I saw the ones in all the pretty colors but I'm glad I got black; dirt is dirty and especially so if you use charcoal as I am. Anyway I just now did my first ever aerogarden to dirt transplant and into this fabric grow bag and I took a picture that I'm dying to share with anyone. I will update this review in a week or so. They seem to be well-made with good seams. By the way that place there--that's a NYC kitchen. :)

I love the feel of it
I received this as a promotion. I love the feel of it. It is a thick felt like fabric. I am hoping to plant potatoes in it. It feels sturdy enough to hold a good amount of dirt.

Thick and easy to move with the handles
Got them as a warehouse deal, very affordable that way and a great product. I have a determinate balcony tomato already making blooms in one. Very easy to move inside and out this COLD spring.

Great size for planting flowers or veggies, to keep or give as a gift...
I purchased this product (in three different sizes) at a discount in exchange for a fair, honest and unbiased review. It's always nice to save a little money, but this in no way affects my opinion of the product itself. "It is what it is," as they say, and my hope is that the information I share here will help you decide whether this product will meet your needs.Overall, I like the product. The fabric for the handles is doubled over and well stitched, but the same cannot be said for the base of the bag.Two of the three were nicely constructed, but the third had very loose stitching. It was obvious enough that it should have easily been detected/rejected by the company's Quality Control department (if one exists). Had I not spotted this prior to adding soil and plants, I would have had a huge mess on my hands when it fell apart and dumped contents all over the floor. So you'll want to inspect the seams before you begin to use the bags...One thing to keep in mind when using these breathable grow bags is that you may need a saucer of some sort beneath them (especially if used indoors), as water does leak out through the fabric. I'm not sure that these will last more than a season outdoors with exposure to the elements (wind, rain, sun), but I do like how easily they can be moved around to capture the best sun for your veggies or flowers. They also allow excess water to pass through so that plants don't become waterlogged and develop root rot (something that I've encountered with solid pots). I've read that these types of "breathable" bags are also designed to promote healthier root growth; and healthier roots make for healthier plants. It's too early to tell what kind of difference this bag will make in that regard, but I'm hoping for the best. I'm planting flowers in these and will be giving them as gifts.
