Is this product allowed for carry on luggage on a plane?

Carried in my checked luggage an emptied and well vented bottle (along with my new MSR Dragonfly) from Vancouver to Tel Aviv with a stop at Heathrow, without any noticable problem. Carrying fuel is prohibited.

How many boils can you get out of a 11 oz

Jon, I have an 11oz. MSR fuel Bottle & wisperlite intl. multi fuel stove, 1993 model. On the Appalachian trail, October in NY.. I boiled water for coffee & 2 packs of oatmeal in the morning and soup each daily for 3 days. Approximately 7min per boil. I burned roughly 4-5 oz of fuel the whole time. I had a Trek 1400ml pot and boiled enough water selectively for each day. 24oz at breakfast and maybe 16oz at dinner. hope this helps.

Does elevation effect pressure? Bottles leaked everywhere. Discovered all poured out when we arrived at our destination.

Elementary...higher the elevation the less atmospheric pressure. These bottles are safe from those changes when sealed properly. Helitack crews (wildland fire fighters) transport chainsaw fuel in this type of bottle with safe results, no accidents. You must have not sealed the bottles completely or damaged them some how, sounds like human error.
