Sounds great, super easy to install
Sounds good, was super simple to install. Im a guitar player learning drums and bought a used yamaha set that had no hole in the kick res head. I put this kickport in so I can mic the kick easier. It comes with a ring you just stick to the res head where you want it, then trace around the inside with a hobby knife to cut a perfect hole out, and then just pop the kick port in. Took all of 5 mins to install. It adds alot of oomf to the kick.

Sounds like a rubber basketball
This device may have made the tone of the kick a touch deeper, but the added resonance from the plastic/rubbery port made the kick have a horrible rubberized sounding ring. It really destroyed the tones in the attack and added almost a ball bounce type overtone.I would not recommend this device. It's better to adjust the kick heads or buy a larger kick drum for a lower cleaner tone. This belongs in the "As seen on TV" section.

and 26" and they all sound fantastic with these added
I have three different drum kits and I have Kickports on the kick drums of all three kits. My kicks are 16", 24", and 26" and they all sound fantastic with these added. The Kickports really bring out the low end frequencies and give a really nice punchy thump. They also look great and are extremely useful for mic placement. I highly recommend these to any drummer that wants a deep punchy sounding kick drum.

Sounds good mic'Ed.
Sounds good mic'Ed. ....only use if you have a thin, non muffled reso head. Doesn't really work on a head with a floating muffle ring built in. --I have a custom printed Evans head....which only comes in single ply, w/ no other options; so this really helps lower fundamental pitch in my case. Thanks!

It made a believer out of me.
I was a skeptic, but it worked on my drums. I put it on my 22" mapex kick. Prior to this I had a solid reso head - no holes - and it sounded pretty good. I put the kickport on and I got a more focused sound. My bass player mentioned the kick drum sound pretty quickly. I also have one on my DW kit and it didn't make as much of a difference, but on the mapex kit - wow!

The Kickport really does work but you must have realistic expectations. I love it.
The Kickport really does work but you must have realistic expectations. I only use this for rehearsal when drum are not mic'd and love it. It adds a significant amount of low end to the ambient kick sound, but not so much when recording. Well worth the money.
