I'm pretty sure I'm temperature sensitive, and I also don't like fuzzy pajamas because even in winter it's easy for me to feel too hot, and I'll get sweaty or uncomfortable. That, and I just prefer fabric that's simple and smooth.I had to nightgowns of the same size with different patters for a few years, but they were also rather short, so was less convenient for moving around the house in when I take my evening shower but haven't gone to bed yet.I wanted something long, breathable, and comfortable, and this is just right for me. Plus, I also just kinda look good in that color.

This is so pretty and soft. The fabric looks like velvet. I wore it to an evening performance and fell in love with it. As a plus size but petite, I ordered the smaller of the two sizes because they are cut as a circle and the only difference will be the length and I made the right choice. It does come with a thin ribbon sewn in to tie it together in the front if desired but you don't have to and can just cut the ribbons off if you don't care for them.

I keep this on the back of my chair. Easy to flip back when a hot flash hits, then back on. I even took it with me on an overseas flight. Very handy.

Extremely soft, but because it's a cape without sleeves, it is difficult to stay on. I wanted this to wrap up in to read in bed at night...but it gets twisted up and arm area is short when wearing in bed. AGAIN...extremely soft...but would NOT buy a wrap type cape for a bed jacket. To me, the word jacket...means at least 3/4 length sleeves. However, if you wear it to sit in a chair to read or watch television, it would probably be great!!! Did I mention it was EXTREMELY SOFT!!!!!!!!!!

The only reason for the one star is because Amazon doesn't allow a minus 10. I bought this because I do not like my arms covered in the house but need something to drape over my shoulders. However, it is unbelievably thin cheap material which makes me wonder how anyone could possibly call it warm. It wouldn't be too warm if you wore it in the Sahara.I guess Americans are getting so used to cheap Chinese junk that they are rapidly forgetting what quality looks and feels like. It was returned the same day it arrived.

I bought this to wear at work when the heat is low or the AC is too high. But, first of all, it is really shiny! I see that a bit in the photo, but I felt like i was gleaming! Maybe it's just because I don't wear shiny fabrics, but it was a bit much. The other issue is that it was very soft and offered a bit of warmth, but it just didn't present as a nice item to throw on and off at work over professional clothes. The way that it hangs is just too casual. I thought from the images that it might be a bit more presentable for an office environment.

I got this for my daughter to wear at my wedding, and she fell in love....with the cape. It is very soft, and she said it was like wearing a blanket. It kept her warm during our unbelievably cold night. It was nice enough to go well with her dress but because of the fabric I didn't have to worry if she got it dirty. I wish there were more color varieties, but we still love it.

It's my fault for not paying more attention to the description heading, but I really thought this would have big sleeves (like a loose fitting kimono sweater)...not that it would be a cape/poncho one-piece type of covering. Needless to say, this will probably do the trick as it'll keep me warm. My office often gets cold and when I wear tops with long sleeves, it's difficult to put on a sweater/jacket so I was looking for something that would be loose fitting and wouldn't cause the sleeves of my top to bunch up. It's very lightweight so it doesn't feel like something heavy is draped over you.

Got this for my elderly Mum and she loves it. Beautiful and soft to keep out the chill.
