Perfect, beautiful flames, soft cracklings, so easy. Just place, light the wrapper, perfect fire in about 5-10 min. Mine last 2.5-3 hrs on average. Makes MUCH less mess than wood. I can have several fires before cleaning out the the ashes. Also for some reason my cats don’t bother the ashes like they do with the wood , before they would make such a mess if I didn’t clean it out immediately! I noticed a very slight “oily” kind of odor the first time I burned one, now I don’t notice any smell. If you really like that campfire type smell getting in your clothes & hair , stick with wood 😛 I’m ordering more of these!

14.99 for 4 logs is a great price, smells abit like wax but better then smoke for me. It crackles and puts off a good deal of heat, we break it apart 1/2 way thru to increase the fire and heat, we are 2 hour campfire people. When we break it apart it is a roaring flame so be prepared. Some places we have been(ca) won’t allow wood fires so this is a great alternative. Don’t cook food or marshmallows over it and use it on the grate or something to get it off the ground.

Like the other duraflame logs, easy to use, burns clean and even. I bought these crackling kind because I wanted the convenience and safety of a duraflame log with the sound and crackle of wood. The crackle (which is apparently created by small seeds they add to the log mixture) is barely noticeable though. I'm not sure if I paid extra for the crackle or gave something up in terms of log size/burn time, but if I did, it really wasn't worth it.

I really like these logs. They burn and crackle well. Actually “burn times is probably closer to 2-2.5 hours. Large flames and loud crackles. They burn very clean and Amazon has some of the best prices. If OOS, check Target.

Nice size log, easier to manage than the larger ones. I'm frankly not hearing a whole lot of crackling, but that isn't a problem for me. I would definitely buy again. And let's face it, it's nice to have it delivered to your door and not have to lug it home from the store yourself.
