Yes. It has a metal gear box & steel gears instead of the plastic junk. This thing is really great and should last forever. Cut the meat in long skinny strips & they will pull themselves through the machine without jamming up, so you won't need to push the meat through, it will do it it's self & won't choke down the motor so should last a long time. Q: I need to grind meat & bone, primarily chicken quarters for raw dog food. Will this product support bone grinding?

YES, I bought this grinder just for grinding chicken parts bones and all and it does it with no problem. Very pleased with this grinder. I shopped for awhile before choosing this one. It is hard for a company to admit that their machine with chop bones up. I quest they are concerned that there machine won't hold up. this machine grinds the meat and bones as fast as u can feed it. Hope this helps.

think it will lock down on you.its a great grinder ;we make sausage & very happy with it.should never feed an animal bones.even the smallest particle could cut their intestine.had a beagle get a small particle of bone outside my home;think at the local grocery where he went begging.doctors told me to take him home he was a goner.took me one year of cooking &grinding beef liver to save him. muriel
