Does the job
I've been using this for 5 months without any problems. The power LED is crazy bright, so I've stuck blutack over it. Remote control is a bit feeble and can take a careful aim and few attempt. But overall it does the job well with no hassle. One odd thing is that the selector button moves the selection down from 5 to 1 (and from right to left), the opposite way you'd expect

Works well for all devices
Works well with all devices I tried. It has an IR extend cable but you don't need to use it if you're near the TV. As someone else mentioned the red LED for power is offensively bright but nothing a piece of tape won't cure. The remote control is a bit small and light but it does the job. It uses a flat round lithium battery which is supplied rather than the usual kind of AA or AAA batteries remote controls use.You don't get an output cable so make sure you have a spare that is a "high speed". Hdmi cable. What I mean is you plug all your devices into the box then you need to find another lead to go from the box to your TV as it is not supplied. All in all its great and I can find no fault with it. I'm a bit concerned about the other review that mentions the power supply being a fire hazard though so I'll keep a close eye on it.

Easy to set up and works well
The unit feels well made, it has some weight and substance, although compact. I use it for satellite, Amazon and DVD sources into a single output. I have two unused ports to spare. The remote has 5 simple numbered buttons which correspond to the input ports, it is a bit plasticky and lightweight, but no more or less than other similar products. You will need to remember which port is which, no real issue. It comes with a remote infra red receiver, so you can tuck the box away out of sight and just have a cable with the receiver at a suitable location. Picture quality on all sources, including 4K DVD appear to have no degradation on my 55" OLED TV.

Keeps defaulting to HDMI 5
Got this to replace a cheap 3 way switcher as needed more ports and wasn't setting up an old avr for this. Overall it works fine, but if your connected device goes to sleep or you reboot it, the port automatically resets to hdmi 5.if cheaper models can switch and stay connected to the correct port, then would expect this to do the samefound it doesn't work with the surface dock either - tried all different ports and get same issue - display detected but nothing on the screen

Great buy . And remote control
Does the job that I bought it for. Don't think in the photo it's that thick . The photo is simply showing what the front and back look like . It's about an inch and a half thick or should I say slim. It's a 2.0 capable device . So do what I did and buy 2.0 hdmi leads Every hdmi lead are not all the same . Buy 2.0 to match this device for best picture video quality

one port is not working, quality not impressive
Built quality is not very impressive as one of the 5 inputs is not working properly that implies their QC process is not up to standard. The switching time between each channel is around 3 seconds which is long and No automatic input signal detection which is a miss. Overall, it is just a normal HDMI switch, not one that I would recommend at this price point.

Auto switching did not work in 4k
Great switch, but auto switching did not work in 4k. It may work for you but did not for us. If you're prepared to use the remote it doesn't matter and the picture quality is great.
