As it says in the name, this is the ...
As it says in the name, this is the real Pitney Bowes item. We tried substitutes but they just did not work. I understand why there is the temptation to look for another "replacement" brand, because this is very expensive. This is the third time I have bought it on Amazon. It goes up about $20 a year, but on the other hand it lasts about a year (for our small business) and actually works.

Not a pitney bowers cartridge
The cartridge we received is not a Pitney Bowes cartridge and does not work properly in our meter.

Good and expensive
It works and it's extremely expensive! Tried the generic ones and they just make a mess.

They are trouble free, but on the expensive side.
I've tried refilled/refurbished cartridges and unfortunately they end up leading to issues with the postage machine. These are perfect and I don't have any trouble with them but on the downside they are expensive. You can buy a cheaper option but be prepared to deal with printing trouble down the road.
