I am very pleased with this Bulova brass desk clock - it is both simple and elegant, and is the perfect size for my antique desk. It was a snap to set up, requiring only 1 AA battery. As soon as that was installed, the clock began running immediately, and all I had to do was to set the time. I have several small decorative items on that desk, as well as photographs, and this clock was the perfect complement to what was already displayed. I particularly liked the two small "columns" on either side, and the Roman numerals. The second hand is a constant sweep. All in all, a lovely clock and I'm really happy I found it.

I love the look of the clock, however it does not keep time even after changing the batteries multiple times. I've only had the clock for 2 months and I noticed it failing a month in. I'm hoping for a replacement or possibly a different model or even a refund. There is a 1 year warranty from Bulova, so hoping they will honor it.

I bought this for my mom who had a cheaper, plastic Clock in the family room. This was a birthday present for her 89th birthday, and she was thrilled when she open the package, and we have been even more thrilled since. Several months now and the time is perfectly accurate to cell phone time, the clock face is very classy, but very clear and readable from across the room, and it looks terrific sitting on a marble shelf on our brick hearth. Brass is real - yes, Not panther plastic junk! Classy and sharp. Buy one for you or gift and you’ll have the TIME of your life!!

I purchased this clock at Macy's for $50 in 1999. It only just stopped working 07/2018. Looking for a replacement I was pleasantly surprised to find it again here on Amazon. The patina is a little different than the first one I purchased but still just as elegant.

After only 2 months of use, this clock starts to run slow at first by a couple of minutes then goes up to 15 minutes slow. I use the same brand batteries for my old clock & they used to last at least 6 months. Even after replacing with different brands batteries, I notice it would start to slow after just 1 month with energizer & 2 months with Duracell or a rechargeable type battery. Too bad it's past the return period but a nice quality clock like this one shouldn't be defective so soon. I love the look & feel (quality) of the clock but the mechanism must be defective. Does anyone know if there's a way to adjust this?

I am very upset. I purchased this clock knowing this is great name and it will last me for years. However, it stopped working after a few weeks. I changed the battery. It worked for a few days and it happened again. I changed the battery again. Now it happened again. I lost the time to return it and I have a defective clock. I would love to get a replacement.

My husband and I gave this clock to my mother-in-law for her 92nd birthday. She is very pleased with how it looks and runs. It comes with a separate piece that you can have something engraved on it and put on the clock but it looks great without it. I did not have any issues at all with setting the clock or putting the battery in. It was very simple and easy! It is a very nice looking clock and both she and ourselves are very happy with the our purchase!

Was very happy with the purchase initially - good-looking clock, well constructed, reasonable price. Kept good time for 3 months, then started losing time horribly - 15-20 min a week. Changed batteries twice but it didn't work. Just kept getting slower till it ran 2 hours slow after a couple of months. Finally threw it away and bought another mantel clock.

Lovely clock - fashion, quiet, and accurate! It will be great if the size could be bigger.
