Glass works
Philip Glass is a wonderful composer and musician, I listen to himevery day, he is very much part of my life. This set is a mostenjoyable translation for a steel band ensemble, and works beautifully.I was fortunate to hear a full steel orchestra in St Lucia in 1974, andwas moved. Glass's composition structures are often re-worked for otherinstruments and they always work successfully. There are always big audiencesfor Glass concerts, so there would be a ready made audience for this disc.

Weird but works
This is well played and an interesting arrangement of the etudes. If you are interested in percussion or steel drums, I would recommend it. However, Phil Glass's own performance of his etudes is so fantastic (IMHO) that it is hard for me to recommend any other. The use of multiple percussion instruments takes the edge off the precision of the works a bit, compared to a solo piano performance. Nonetheless, it is worth hearing.

Like man cool it be too
This is like cool man because hey you get to hear these songs like they was been played in Hawaii or something since its steel drums. You got to like the sound of the steel drums, if you don't care for the steel drum, then you gone not like this music maybe man. Hey, if you like the steel drums, then check it out and if you like Glass too. It might sound weird if you not like the steel or never heard. Its cool too for me since I know this drum, Glass, you know. Yeah, five star, alright.

erreur sur le titre
Je suis désolé mais ce CD ne contient pas le concerto pour 2 timbales de glass mais des études pour piano transcrites et jouées par des percussionnistes. Très déçu.
