My 8 yr old nephew loves WWII history. He absolutely loves this book and enjoyed the quiz at the back.

My son who is very interested in history loved this book. He sat down quietly on the couch and read it all. When he was done he talked to me about what he read and we did the quiz together. The style in which it's written is engaging for kids and keeps them interested. I loved the quiz so I can make sure he's understanding what he's reading.

It’s hard to take the entire six year span (1939-1945) of World War II and distill it down to a few dozen pages, but I think the creators of this book have succeeded. There are of course plenty of full length books about the war and it’s good to gather the highlights in one easy to read picture book. The Nazis marched into Poland which started the German part of the war and the Japanese a couple of years later attacked the U.S. at Pearl Harbor in Hawaii. One thing I found out from reading this book that I did not know: The U.S., not liking how Japan’s empire was expanding in the Pacific, stopped supplying the Japanese war machine with oil. Supposedly, they got mad and attacked us.This little book covers not only the battles, treaties and so forth chronologically, but profiles some of the leaders in the war, Churchill, Roosevelt and Stalin on the Allies side, Hitler, Tojo and Mussolini on the Axis side, as well as uniforms, equipment, guns, tanks, airplanes, rationing, the Holocaust, statistics, like the death toll (55,000,000 for both sides).

This book is really good for learning history I love reading this book series and It is very descriptive of the war

The book has a bunch of interesting facts for people who want to know WWII history. The illustrations depict what they are talking about and they have sections on basically everything, from living situations to guns. If you are interested about learning about the history of the war, this book is a definite purchase.

I bought this book for my 6-year-old son who was asking questions about war and World War II in particular. It was a good introduction to the subject for a young child - text broken up into short sections, lots of illustrations, simple and factual descriptions. My 8-year-old daughter enjoyed looking through it too. It provides an appropriate overview of this incredibly important world event. I will but others in the series.

It tells you a lot when it comes to facts and statistics and overall it is just fun to read. I recommend it

I bought this at my sons request. He's 11 but reads at adult level and loves all war topics. Anyway I didn't didn't do a full read of product details and was very disappointed by the thin, (less than 50 pages) comic book we received. It is all illustrations, which are fun, and with written explanations. A fun, easy book that will take my son about 30 mins to read! The cost of £7.75 means it represents very poor value for money. I did try to return it but I was going to be charged 3.99 to return it, deducted from the refund price which would have left me 3.99 lighter with nothing to show for it!! Not usually disappointed by Amazon marketplace but this really is a poor deal, don't pay more than £3 or you'll be disappointed.

I have always enjoyed reading and learning about the topic of World War 2 of course this book has reinforced knowledge I already had, but it has also given me a lot of new knowledge which is what I find really great about this book. Overall this is a Really Great and Informative Book On World War Two and I Would Recommend This Book to Anyone Interested in The Topic!
