SE - Tape Measure - Tailor's, Round Tape, 5ft(60in.) - MT8R

Measuring tapes are handy to have around, but it seems like there is never one around when I need one. I bought this small retractable tape measure to keep in my purse. I was looking for a new suitcase and with the strict airline policies I wanted one that was big, but not so big I would be able to overfill it so much I would get overweight bag fees. I was browsing stores but having trouble guaging the exact dimensions just from what was on the tag. Having the tape allowed me to compare things better. I'm not a crafter or builder, in fact I see myself as pretty un talented in the making things department. I have been surprised at how many times I have appreciated having the tape measure in my purse even after I bought my suitcase. It is lightweight and sturdy. It has held up well even after living at the bottom of my purse for months.

I was looking for an all white tape measure and if you are toothen this is not it.You can't tell by the photo because it doesn't show the button part but tookmy chances because it was really cheap.But the button is RED :(I wished the seller would have put the other side of the photo or somebody written a review stating this so I decided I'd write it :)Update: This broke after 5 months. I only used it a dozen times at most. The reeling mechanism stopped working.Lowering it to 1 star. A tape measure should at least hold up for a year. Will never buy this again.Found the best measuring tape to replace this it's Shiro by Clover it's not all white but with this quality I'm ok with it, retracts perfectly every time and the tape is made of fiberglass so it doesn't stretch out. It also doesn't click click click when you pull it out like this one, maybe that clicking noise is the cause of the breakage?

It does the job but the numbers are small and it makes really loud clicking noises when you are pulling the tape out.

Great tape measure for the price! Had a very similar one that broke and needed a new inexpensive one. I use mine to measure myself to track my workout progress. It's a great easy way to track progress and how it is retractable is very helpful. Was nice to get free 2 day shipping with another purchase tol

The spring is a little finicky on it. Other than that it doesn't the job.

Sticks a little bit but gets the job done.

I love these, I have a couple...They come in very handy to carry...how many times have you needed a measurement while you are shopping, or building some projects... you gave the ability for tape to lock which make it much easier to measure and it has an auto rewind which is another plus!

Worked fine for the first few months, then gradually the retract button began to have problems until finally it failed completely. I've had this for less than a year, only used 4-5 times, and it's useless because the button no longer retracts.
