this ship is bad to the bone
I have mine in a fish tank and it looks cool, for the reviewers saying its hard to build are stupid my 5 year old nephew put it together with very little help at all. This product should come with some super glue because some parts fall off easy. But no big deal just buy some glue and use it during assembly and it will be fine. This is the best kids toy I have ever seen I love it .

awesome
my son loved it its not a rock solid ship but it does what he wants it to so that was all that mattered. it sucked that 2 weeks later big lots had them for 20 bucks and i paid over 45 but that was fine.

Constantly falling apart!
I'm very dissapointed with this product! You'd think a toy built to play with would at least stay togeher while carrying it...it falls apart constantly. Very frustrating! My son is very gentle with it and he gets so frustrated with it always falling apart. Nothing is broken it just doesn't stay together. Definatley not worth 45$! it's like a toy from the dollar store.

Ship Doesn't Stay together
The item was shipped and recieved promptly. Unfortunately, the Ship has to be put together and the plastic pieces gap when lined up and don't fit well. The ship doesn't stay together and my son quickly quit playing with it and now only plays with the accessories. Not worth the money.

Aaarrrgh!
Amazingly frustrating to assemble! Designer should walk da plank! Parts not marked and all look similar. Looks good once together

POTC Queen Anne's Revenge Hero Ship Playset is pretty cool
I ordered this because my grandson loves the Pirates of the Caribbean movies. Ship is not made poorly but it is plastic, and was much less expensive than buying the Black Pearl. These POTC toys from the older movies are hard to get because they have been retired by the manufacturer. Ship comes only with Blackbeard figure, so I had to order Jack Sparrow separately at inflated cost. I did so to please my grandson for his birthday. Once assembled, which took a short time, the ship looks impressive to a six-year old. He is careful when he plays with it and nothing has broken or fallen apart. Plastic toys are never too sturdy, but this one is acceptable. It is quite large and I would recommend it to others now that I see what fun my grandson has with it. The details are good, such as a working winch that can lift a figure, one cannon that shoots a small plastic dart, a large steering wheel that turns, and hidden compartments for treasure chests (my grandson had two from a Lego set). The sails are red cloth, and pirate pictures show when the lamp that comes with the ship - or from the special ring that comes with the Sparrow figure - is shone on them. Accessories can be bought to go with the ship, such as additional figures and cannon. I also purchased a bag of slightly smaller pirates for $8 on Amazon to add to the crew as I didn't want to spend another $30 or more on authentic POTC collectible action figures, and my boy loves them.

It makes a great display!
I chose this ship as a display, not a item to play with. Already had some small "Pirates of the Caribbean", 3rd movie, characters, to place on and around the ship. It arrived in good shape and was easy for myself and some neighbor kids to put together. Along with an old stockade from a Cowboy and Indians play set and a lit up, deserted "Saloon" building from Dept. 56, we have an awesome Caribbean display. JF

Good quality, well built toy
Bought this for two different grandsons, and both were thrilled with it. Good quality, well built toy, lots of fun hidden spaces. You will however probably need to buy extra people, and playsets to go with it, for it to be the most fun, and they can be pricey.
