The metal cap over the end of the rod extension gets stuck and pops right off the end of the rod leaving the epoxy and graphite exposed. This occurred the first time we put the rod together. Attention to detail nor qa was never something this product has ever undergone or this would no doubt be caught and resolved right away as it is clearly a failure in process. Idk if they are just dripping epoxy on the end and jamming the aluminum blanks on but that seems to be the chosen method, to the fault of the manufacturer.

I actually have this rod to my brother and he has done well with it. Im about to buy another one for myself. He had caught many big fish on this rod. This rod is sturdy and kinda stiff, but it works great for our needs. I use it mostly in salt water. I can't speak for the durability because we have only used it a few times.

Great rod with nice action and strength. Fit and finish leaves some things to be desired, and the longevity of the eyes, joint, reel seat, and resin remains to be seen. I'm using it with a rather large 6000 series reel with braided line. So far it's been great and I'll update if that changes.

It's way more sturdy than it looks. I almost returned, but I figured I'd try it before I did. Definitely glad I did. I still wouldn't recommend it for big cats though. If your targeting things in a strong current and need something sturdy; this works great.
