I absolutely love this Weck jar! I need all of them now!! The glass is thick and high quality, and the seal feels super secure with the rubber ring and clips. It’s the perfect size for storing small items, leftovers, or even using as a cute countertop container. I also love how aesthetic it looks, way nicer than regular storage containers. I keep mine out on the counter and it fits right in with my decor. It’s easy to clean and feels very durable. Only thing to note is you have to make sure the lid is lined up correctly when sealing, but once you get the hang of it, it’s no problem. Overall, 10/10! functional and cute. I’ll definitely be buying more!

I already had a Weck Tulip Jar for my sourdough starter, but a second one makes the process smoother. These jars are well made with quality glass. The mouth of the jar is nice and wide, making it easier to scoop out the starter. I also like that this one came with clips to hold the lid on--I wish the first one had. I'm pleased with my purchase.

Great quality, thick glass. I like that I am able to remove the clips and seal, which is how I store my sourdough. It is also wide enough for my large dough whisk to fit and mix. I've had this jar for 2 years and counting. Will definitely buy another if I ever need it replaced.

The best sourdough starter jar and so easy to clean

This jar is beautiful! It is wide making it great for pouring flour into in you’re doing a sourdough starter. However, the whole, “make sure it doubles”, or “just make sure that it’s growing well”, is difficult in this jar for sourdough starter. The lid closed well. It arrived perfectly. But it does not suit the purpose of why I bought it which was for sourdough starter. But that’s not the jars fault!

The jar works well, the mouth size is great. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to get my starter going but it wasn’t the jars fault. It’s study and easy to clean. Would buy again.

Great for sour dough

Gran tamaño, resistente, práctico y excelente para alimentar la masa madre de arranque. Me encanta.

By far this handy jar is perfect for my portion of sourdough feeding so I may bake in the morning. I measure about a table spoon of starter to 1/4 water and flour. Boom. Nearly full jar in the morning. No overflow. The glass lid with no seal, must allow air in just enough to create the perfect fermentation environment. Not to mention it is so elegant in design.
