Works great for breastfed baby at daycare
This is the only bottle my now 9 month old has ever used. I introduced it when he was 1 month old. He took it without any problems, and fed from these and from the breast until he was 8 months. At that point he became exclusively bottle fed. We have continued to use the newborn nipples. About a month ago, I noticed that a few of the nipples have begun to drip a little when tipped, so they are probably a little worn out (after daily use for 7 months). The only thing that could use a little tweaking is that the curved design creates a large kind of "ledge" when the bottle is inverted, such that it traps the last half ounce of milk and prevents it reaching the nipple. I have to turn the bottle completely vertical and swirl it a bit to get the last half ounce down. The shape of the nipple produces a nice, wide latch that is consistent with a good breastfeeding latch (at least for my baby). The wide neck makes them easy to clean. The short, squat design is easy for baby and mom to hold, but makes them a little less convenient to store and travel with (they won't fit in a lot of standard bottle bags). The tops are very secure, but they can be hard to get off. It often requires two hands. I've never had the nipple or ring leak. The US oz. markings are not accurate. They do not match the 9 oz. bottles, or the Medela bottles that came with my pump. 4 oz. of milk will show as about 3.5 oz. in these bottles, so don't measure with them. We washed them by hand and put them in a steam sterilizer until very recently.I like the glass version too, but they're just not practical for travel, and they're too heavy for the baby to hold well, so the plastic ones won out for daily use.

Works well for a breastfeeding baby
I bought one of each of several types of bottles when I was preparing to go back to work and needed to have my son (at that point, 2.5 months old) start eating off a bottle. I ended up returning the rest of them, because he tried this one and did great. Since I'm breastfeeding and pumping, he will probably never need a larger bottle (he eats ~2-3 oz every meal). He does need to burp afterwards, but he needs to after he nurses as well. We have not noticed any additional spitting up with these bottles. We only use the newborn nipple (and won't be going past that). It comes out pretty quickly, but after the first few minutes of the first bottle feed in the morning he gets used to it.I have seen two interesting changes with him since he's been using these bottles. One: he doesn't always like to change back to nursing. The bottle is "easier", so we have had a few times where I had to wait out a crying fit because he didn't want to nurse, he wanted the bottle. We don't give in, and he eventually naps and eats or just settles down and eats. Two: when he bottle feeds, he tucks in and eats until he is done. Before, when he was nursing exclusively, he would sometimes suck once then pull off, latch again, suck once, and pull off. He could repeat this for 10 mins before he would settle down and eat (if he ever did). Now that he's been using this bottle, he will almost always tuck in and nurse solidly until he is full. This has actually reduced his spitting up.They are easy to clean but do have a tendency to hold onto a thin layer of the fat from my milk. I simply wash them out with very hot water again before I pump into it or use it.

Good, but better to start with larger bottles
These are great bottles. Our daughter is exclusively bottle fed formula. We were given one of these bottles in a sample bag from our pediatrician. We started out with Tommy Tippee bottles, but our little one loved these, and they seemed to give her much less gas, so we ordered more. The coordinating nipples are a bit different than some other bottles. The nipples included with the 4 ounce bottles are 0m+, or newborn. I didn't realize that Avent has a 1m+ nipple, and my daughter got very frustrated with the 0m+ at about 3 weeks of age. My advice would be to have a few 1m+ on hand so you can switch when they are ready to without dragging a newborn to the store, or waiting on shipping to arrive. After the 1m nipples, you advance to the 3m+ nipples, and I believe the progression is the same as other brands' nipples after that. The ONLY reason I took off one star is because I really wish I had just started with the 9 ounce bottles. Our daughter was eating 4-5 ounces regularly by 4 weeks, and these just weren't big enough. For strictly economical reasons, I would just purchase 9 ounce bottles if I had it to do over again.

Great bottles, easy to clean!
I love these bottles because they have very few pieces to clean. More importantly, my daughter likes them. A lot of the other anti-colic bottles have a zillion pieces to them that are annoying to clean. I understand if that's the only thing your baby will take, you gotta deal with it. I'm happy baby likes these and they're easy to put together and take apart. I also like the wide mouth so you can get your cleaning brush in there easily. Actually I don't really need it, it's so big I can just scrub it out. I'm sure I should be steam cleaning it for sanitary purposes but I'm sure children have survived in the past when their mothers cleaned them by hand with water and soap. So there. I'm happy.

I love these bottles
I love these bottles. I had to go to the ER recently due to mastitis and was unable to breastfeed my baby because of the pain. I had some breastmilk pumped and stored so my husband was able to bottlefeed for the first time with this bottle that we received for free from Motherhood Maternity after I purchased some bras. My baby took to the bottle easily (thank goodness because they are EBF) and I was really impressed with the design of the nipple. We didn't have any issue with taking in any extra air either, so not a lot of burping or spit up. Purchased more of these in this size and larger for future use! Very excited after reading more about them and I think they will work perfect for my twins when I leave for a couple days on a trip and they will be bottle fed.
