How long do batteries last when charged?

We have been able to go a couple of days between charges, I would say somewhere between 5-10hrs between charges. It is best to remove the strap to plug the remotes into the station to charge and wiggle it to make sure it is charging (we have had it for over 1yr now).

does it come with the power plug?

No mine did not come with one. There was an option to buy it separately though.

Will this fit with a case on the Wii u pad?

The Wii U pads fits snug in the charger, so I don't think a case on the Wii U pad would fit.

Does it charge the special Wii controller that has Wii motion built in?

Yep it can charge Wii motion plus controllers
