I use these syringes for dispensing small amounts of glue or silicone for woodworking or when installing alarm systems.The syringe gives me better control and accuracy for my applications and can be cleaned up and used over and over again.Previous to amazon I was buying these locally for about 30% more not counting the time it took to drive down to the store, wait in line to pay and drive home. I picked these up to use with my sewing. Sometimes it is helpful to squeeze in just a tiny bit of glue to hold a seam in place for sewing. The little tips on these syringes work great. The curve lets me put the glue exactly where I need it to go, and the plunger depresses smoothly and evenly for perfect application of the glue. I did need to jury-rig a plug for the end of the tip to keep the glue from drying out between uses, but now that I've got that figured out these are a wonderful addition to my sewing box.

Like some other reviewers I purchased these to flush the cavities left by multiple wisdom tooth extractions. The syringes you can find at drug stores for dispensing medication simple couldn't be maneuvered to do the job effectively so the long curved tip on these was perfect. I can't comment on their usefulness as a hobby syringe but I recommend them to everyone going through dental extractions and even mentioned them to my oral surgeon.
