24 Hand-drawn Ethereal Designs of Fantasy Women with beautifully large eyes – printed on one side of the page
The media could not be loaded. I really enjoy coloring fairies and other fantasy females, especially those with big, gorgeous eyes. Artist Tanya Bond has created a coloring book with 24 designs which fit the bill. The young women are generally accompanied by an animal of some sort (including cats, owls, frogs, snails, and many more.) Each of the designs have a title which describes the young woman and sets the stage for coloring. This is an overview of what I found in the book as well as my experiences with coloring in it:24 Hand-drawn Fantasy DesignsPrinted on one side of thin, white non-perforated paper typical of CreateSpace publicationsDesigns do not merge into the binding areaGlue BindingPlenty of room to cut pages out if you choose to do soConsistent and dark printingAlcohol and water based markers bleed through the pageGel pens and India ink pens leave shadows on the back of the pageColoring pencils work well, good color and blending but hard lead pencils leave dents on the back of the pageI'm having a lot of fun coloring these designs – choosing which colors I like best to give the right mood to the subject. I finished my first two pictures and am busy working on the next one.

Charming creatures to color!!
I love this artist's work! The women and critters in these images are creative and whimsical and so fun to color! I have attached two images that I've already completed. On the "Hummingbird Whisper" I used Faber-Castell PITT pens (birds, girl) and Tombow dual brush markers (background). On "La Princesse Grenouoille" I used Prismacolor alcohol-based markers and gel pens for embellishments. All mediums bled through to a degree, so be sure to use a thick card between pages when coloring. I personally prefer to use an Exacto knife to take the pages out first (perforated pages would be nice). The only REAL con I would say is the paper quality, which is quite thin, but this is mitigated by the fact the paper is one-sided, so I was still able to use markers.OVERALL SCORE - 4.6DISCLAIMER: I am your average PAYING consumer. I have no personal connection to this product. I take the time to write product reviews, because I rely heavily on them myself when making purchases. This is my 100% honest opinion. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys coloring animals, humans, and whimsical or fantasy scenes.

Beautifully done!!
Love love love the art! Beautiful girls, low brow art, pop manga and surrealism art are my FAVORITES to color. This kinda came in a league all its own. With that being said the art is amazing. All the pictures are different but gorgeous and fun. The reason I kept two stars is because the paper isn’t my favorite. It makes the color pencil lay down like a a crayon. I had to blend it to give it a smoother finish and not leave that harsh sand papered look🤦🏼♀️ everything in the right was blended with a full blender by CARAN d’ache . I’m sure there are better blenders but this one did ours job. The paper could definitely be better and maybe the pictures be a little wider? This paper stock will only work well with color pencils only🥺 markers show it’s not a god idea in the next picture. Lol

Pictures are bigger than I thought.
It looks bigger in real life. Thought it would be a little smaller in proportion but it looks 8.5 by 11.5 like a piece of printer paper. I almost got her second book instead, but opted for this one at the last minute. I think it was because there are more creatures in this one which I liked. The paper is white and thin. But in shipping the front cover got bent on both corners ... and now I see that actually, each page is a little bent. That is never a pleasant thing to receive something in a damaged condition. But as for the book, I have not colored people yet. This will be new for me but looking forward to giving it a try. There is a lot of skin to color on each page. But the pictures are really nice. I've seen how they come out after being colored and that is what prompted me to make this purchase.

I like it.
I like it. I just wish fewer pages had elfin ears. I don't like them. But I can draw lines over them and make them hair. So the book is very nice. I like that the girls are with animals.

Inklings are Magical!
Tanya Bonds art work is just delicious! Simple enough to finish a picture in an evening but come out looking very professional because of the way her pages are shaded and detailed. I took off one star for the paper quality in the book. I heard that she sells them for a higher price on Etsy with nice artist paper so I ordered this one and Inklings II from her and was thrilled with that quality. So if you are a paper snob like me, try that. I use this book now when I go and color with friends as I'm not too worried if something gets spilled on it or if I mess up because I'm not paying attention because I have the artist ones' at home. She just finished a zodiac kickstarter campaign and those ladies are gorgeous too. I'm a fan!

A lovely, fun book!!!
I was exited to get this coloring book! It was a new challenge for me. Open spaces...those faces...need contouring.I love doing hair! In this case, I used 5 different colors, while leaving lots of open areas because I wanted her hair to be whispy...airy, if you will. The only piece I dislike were the hook like plants. But the rest I like...especially her and her clothes.I used pencils mostly but some gel pens with pencils used over and under the gel pens.As I read tons of reviews, I appreciate tips and tricks so here's one for you reader, if you use a lighter touch and go over and over the color will build up, and your hands will thank you (well, mine did). This a really fun, challenging coloring book. Check it out yourself!

I love her artwork & have bought a some of it ...
I love her artwork & have bought a some of it on Etsy. With that being said I am very disappointed in the quality of this book. The paper is super thin. It helps that the images are single sided but artwork isn't everything when it comes to coloring books! I still give it 4 stars because the artwork is lovely & I'm hoping the book holds up to different mediums. She does have two blank pages in the back for testing, so we'll see how that works out.

24 Great fantasy pages to colour
I have found this colouring book to be very enjoyable and I love the different designs. It is suitable for both children as well as adults. The theme is mystical fairies, pixies, princesses, queens and each young girl has a fantasy creature. The pictures are all different and the spaces on the pages for colouring in range from small to larger areas. I found it really relaxing and enjoyable and I used copic sketch pens. The pages bleed if using alcohol inks but they are fine for waterbased pens/pencils or paints. The pages are not perforated so it would be advisable to be careful when tearing out the pages so that you do not tear them. The left side pages are blank. Each picture has a name, the one I enjoyed colouring in was called "Ugly Duckling" some of the others included names such as Winter rose, Hope, Luna and Robyn. The animal choices are all lovely and the details on the girl tie in with the animal, for example Queen of dragon and she has a small dragon.I enjoyed the 24 different designs in this book and look forward to Tanya's next book.I have added photographs for your convenience.

The artwork in this colour book is amazing, I absolutely love her art
The artwork in this colour book is amazing, I absolutely love her art. And that's the only reason i am giving this five stars, The quality of the paper and book is not so good though. The paper is terribly thin, and the book feels very cheap and flimsy, Which is very disappointing for how much it cost to be honest. But with that being said Ive enjoyed colouring the pictures and will probably buy Inklings 2. But only because i just adore her art.

Stunning artwork!
This is a really gorgeous book and I can't wait to get started on it. The paper quality is pretty poor, but the designs are printed on one side of each page only, so there's no worries about damaging the next image. Some layers of thick paper or card between the pages to protect them is an easy work around. None of the prints merge into the binding area and there's enough of a margin to cut them out if you want to. For anyone thinking of purchasing this book, I would advise that they don't let the paper quality put them off. The artwork is just so beautiful that I think it's well worth working around that one issue for the pleasure of colouring such wonderful pictures.

This is a very nice colouring book
This is a very nice colouring book. There's many interesting pictures of girls, usually with an animal + trees + flowers in the background, to colour. The paper is decent enough but markers will bleed through so you'll need to put a few pieces of thin card behind the picture you are colouring to protect the picture on the next page.I'd never been a fan of the Inkling books but I decided to purchase the Astro-Inklings book + was hooked. I immediately purchased the other 3 colouring books in the Inklings series + was not disappointed.

Lovely book
Gorgeous cover with thumbnails on the back for inspiration. The paper quality could have been better but I usually copy my books onto super smooth card so I can use my Copics. The images are lovely and fun to colour. One thought though...did it need to be A4? I copied mine onto A5 card and they were still easy to colour.
