WONDERKID TV and Furniture Anti-Tip Straps with Mounting Hardware, Black, 2 Straps

StrapI bought two sets of these to strap down two led tvs.My first impressions were that the straps seem strong enough. The buckles were design to tighten its grip if tension was applied. You must follow the directions for this to work correctly. I could see if the buckles were not position correctly, then it could be loosen by gravity or simply kids getting a hold of the loose excess straps. Each strap came with a set of screws and bolts.For each strap, there are two different ends (see picture). The end near the buckle has three holes, two at approximately 13/64 inch (I used a drill bit to measure) and the other a little larger at 9/32 inch. This is the end that was mounted to the tv. The other end has three holes at 13/64 inch. The 9/32 is the largest hole and the one that can fit most of the bolts for the VESA mounting holes.I have two different TVs, both with different tv stands. One tv stand had a wood back with metal shelves attached via bolts. The wood back seem to be mdf wood, which I didn't feel comfortable screwing into. I think it would eventually get lose. The bolt was the best choice, but the strap end wasn't big enough for the bolt. I ended up making the hole larger (make sure you clamp it down or else it will spin out of control when you use a drill). One thing I noticed when I drilled the end, the other layer did not flake. This is good and it means the metal is not coated with a paint that will eventually flake.The other tv was easier. The back of the tv stand was all metal will holes as part of the style. I just used my own bolt with a nut and washer.A few suggestion: I would put lock washers to make sure the bolts don't come lose. If you end up trimming the strap, use a lighter to melt the end a little so it doesn't fray and come undone. You can probably see YouTube videos for instructions.I like the fact that this is adjustable. I cannot imagine what it is like if those straps are not adjustable

Order and delivery are fantastic.All of the materials you need are right in the box, very neat and organized.Installation is a breeze, takes about 30 minutes to mark out the wall and unit, drill and screw everything in. Very straight forward. On furniture, the plates stick up slightly above the top for most pieces, since the only solid wood is often around the edges, but you don't notice it from the front of the unit.Thankfully we haven't had anything fall, so I don't know how well they actually hold the furniture, but they appear to be very good quality with solid anchors. There is a little slack in the strap, so the unit will not be held perfectly tight to the wall if it were to tip.Overall, very pleased

The product is packed in a nice colorful box containing two straps and two sets of various screws. I used my own screws since the included ones did not fit my Samsung TV and my TV stand. Looks like a good quality product. There is a bit of minor blemish on metal parts, but since they go behind the TV, they are not going to be seen. Looks like a solid product. I installed it as a safety measure for CA earthquakes -- hope it will not need to be tested in real life.

I ordered many months ago when we had one television in the house. The first one has done an outstanding job. So, we recently purchased another. I love the all metal hardware and the sturdy straps. The kit comes with lots of screws to fit a variety of TVs. I have successfully installed and uninstalled a Samsung and a Sony TV to different wooden entertainment centers with simplicity. The anchors hold well and tighten to create lots of tension to hold the TVs in place. Plus I love supporting a company that makes quality in the USA!

These straps are great! We ordered them to secure our 65 in tv to a lower stand. They are well made and easy to install. My husband tested it by pulling hard on the tv and it held up. Our tv was mounted above a fireplace before so once putting it on the stand it was very appealing to our toddler. I can now walk out of the room without fear of it falling in him. I would definitely purchase this again. I bought a separate set from lowes for a tall piece of furniture and the one I bought on here was way better quality.

Straps themselves are fine, buckles are solid and hold well without slipping. However the included 1" wood screws for mounting to furniture are complete garbage. After breaking three screw heads in a row with little torque in pre-drilled holes I tossed them out and used my own screws

These are great. I was price shopping material to build something similar but it wasn't worth buy parts separate. They seem to be very strong and I pray I don't ever need them tested. I did pull on them pretty hard and by hard I mean I have the biggest arms from ellwood city so that means super hard.In all seriousness they are awesome. Would highly recommend them. They were super easy to install as well

We purchased this item to use on a large wooden file cabinet made by my husband. It Is over 50" tall and 32" wide with four large drawers. Because of the size, weight, and drawers with added weight when filled, we decided we needed straps to anchor it to the wall. These worked perfectly for us. They are adjustable, strong, and were easy to put on the cabinet. It seems to do the job!
