It works to kill Bermuda grass
I was skeptical at first about using this product. My yard was being overtaken by Bermuda grass, which was killing my centipede. I just couldn't understand how this product would save the little bit of centipede that I had left and kill the Bermuda. It did just that, however. In the picture, you can see the centipede coming back. I know it has a long way to go, but it now has a chance! It has taken a couple of applications, but I am very pleased.

Crabgrass & Bermuda Killer
I use it on my centipede lawn to kill crabgrass and bermuda grass that invade it without harming the centipede. Do not use on fescue. My neighbor saw me killing crabgrass with it, bought some for her fescue yard and killed it. Easy to mix in a sprayer. One ounce product to one ounce of dawn dish washing liquid to one gallon of water. The soap acts as a surfactant. You can buy a separate surfactant but it will cost a lot of money and dawn does the same thing. Just remember to add the water to the sprayer first and then the soap or you will have suds all over. Gently swirl shake the sprayer after filling. The product selectively inhibits photosynthesis so the crabgrass and bermuda grass will turn brown and die. The only downside is this stuff is expensive.

Doesn’t work!
I read the package and followed it precisely, the grass didn’t even flinch! So then I mixed half the container into 1 gallon of water thinking (this is 4x the amount they call for) I hosed down 2 different areas. Still, the next day the grass was bright green and thriving. Also it smells like gasoline and washing your hands won’t get the smell off. Plan to wear gloves or wash your hands repeatedly.

So I applied this shortly after it arrived, about ...
So I applied this shortly after it arrived, about 10 days or two weeks ago. It SORTA worked. It browned out the top sprigs of the homicidal bermudagrass that has taken over the poolside flower garden. Applied it again a few days later, with approximately the same result. This product contains Sethoxydim. It is NOT THE SAME as the old Over-the -Top. The old product really, truly did work on grasses without taking out broad-leafed plants. But it's no longer available...at least, not as Over-the-Top. The new product stinks something fierce: be sure to use disposable gloves when applying, so as not to get it on your hands. Don't apply it on a windy day, and stay out of the overspray. As it happened, a few days ago I decided to clean out the garage cabinets. And what should I find but a years-old squirt bottle of the original Over-the-Top! Instead of Sethoxydim, the original stuff contained fluazifop-p-butyl. Wondering if it still worked, I tried it on the still-vigorous, barely scathed bermudagras. And LO! The old stuff WORKS! As in it really works: the bermudagrass promptly croaked over, and later today or tomorrow I will pull its remains out of the ground. You can still get fluazifop-p-butyl -- apparently it's not one of the effective products that have been taken out of consumers' gummy little hands. It's in Ornamec 170 herbicide...also available on Amazon. Here's a US Forest Service risk assessment of this chemical: [...] Scroll down to page xv for a summary. In brief, risk to humans is fairly low; don't spray it on food crops, don't pour it in ponds, lakes, or streams, and don't saturate the ground with it. Use it, literally, "over the top": a little goes a long way.

It kills the grass and not the flowers
I spray the rock garden before every thing starts to grow that way just the flowers come up and not the grass
