Not for tattoo artists
This is what happens when an artist who never held a tattoo machine in his life, who has absolutely no concept of the strenghts and limitations of tattooing, tries to draw a book of tattoo designs. There are a few good designs here and there, but the majority have teeny tiny lines way too close to each other, designs that just don't translate well into the skin, and the worst sin of all--- designs that WON'T SELL! If you are looking for cross/religious designs that are beautifully drawn, strong and simple with plenty of room to add your own custom shading, tight, precise outlines, and best of all, WILL SELL--- I highley recommend "Religious designs vol 1 and 2, by Steve Soto of Goodfellas Tattoo. Those books are a great investment, real moneymakers!

Not tattoo friendly
I own a tattoo shop in NW PA and do a lot of religious imagery / walk in style stuff. We're always looking for more crosses as they're very popular. This book however is pretty unusable. Most of these designs are computer generated and will not translate into a tattoo well at all. The line work, coloring, and shading represented have no relationship to the way a tattoo is done or even approached design wise. Many of the designs would be more appropriate for Henna tattooing, or a bad t-shirt design you might find in Walmart. There were about 4 or 5 decent celtic crosses in there but that is about the only redeeming value. If you want some decent cross references for real tattooing then I would not recommend this book at all.

Not worth your time
I'm a wood burner and chip carver, I often use tattoo art for my work. This book is a total waste of time. There are maybe half the original patterns the book claims to have, the remainder are just reiterations of a previous cross. To make any of these worth while you have to scan it and then blow it up and by the time it is large enough to work, the image is way too large to transfer to the wood. Don't waste your time and or money buying this book. I'm too embarrassed to even attempt to resell it on Ebay.

NOT A TATTOO BOOK!!
400 CROSS TATTOOS BOOK HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH TATTOOS WHEN YOU OPEN THE BOOK, YOU FIND CARTOONS OF BIBLICAL STORIES FOR KIDS. I DONT HAVE A CLUE WHY THIS IS BEING REPRESENTED AS A TATOO BOOK.
