GM Parts ACDelco 12617944 Original Equipment Exhaust Manifold Gasket

Don't buy the cheap exhaust manifold gaskets. These are single side so you will need two for our project. They are MLS (multi layer steel) and re-useable for hundreds of thousands of miles. If you're doing an LS swap and the originals are in rough shape get some peace of mind and replace with new. They'll last another 15 years worry-free. The most common reason for exhaust leaks on these engines is the weight of the exhaust system will cause fastener fatigue in the manifolds and you'll often see soot around the front and rear bolts. I like to use a MIG welder to zip the broken steel manifold bolts out of the aluminum heads as the wire feed will not stick to aluminum and replace with factory style truck manifolds or whichever your application calls for.

Always use OEM gaskets when installing headers. Many times the cheap ones included or aftermarket gaskets will leak or fail instantly.
