Finally got it up and looks awesome

It looks nice, easy to install but it could be brighter specially if you want to use it to apply makeup.

I wanted a backlit mirror for our bathroom remodel. Most of the units I looked at on Amazon had keyhole slots through the frame that requires you to perfectly place 4 screws on the wall and then slide the (heavy) mirror onto the screw heads. Chances of having wall studs where you need to place any of those screws is slim so you'd have to use wall anchors which I don't trust. This mirror has a mounting bracket that you mount to the wall first and then hook the mirror frame onto it. Much easier. The bracket doesn't have to be perfectly centered so there is a better chance you can pick up a wall stud for at least one screw. I detracted one star because the wall bracket is only a little over 12-inches long. It would be perfect if it was over 16-inches long so you could pickup two wall studs on 16-inch centers.I installed a recessed "clock" power outlet behind the mirror to plug the mirror into but I don't think it was necessary. The back of the mirror frame is open except for the end that has the power supply (the end that has the buttons to control the light and defogger). I'm pretty sure the included right angle plug would fit easily within the open frame even with a standard flush wall outlet. The included cord was more than long enough to reach any outlet that was placed behind the mirror.If you're looking for a backlit mirror with defogger, this is the one to buy.The backlight works great and the defogger is awesome! I have our mirror connected to the same wall switch as the overhead vanity light and I was worried the backlight would lose it settings every time I turned the power off with the switch based on statements in the product listing. I was happy to see that the mirror retains all the backlight settings (brightness, color temperature) when connected to a wall switch.

We ordered 3 of these, and 2 arrived damaged. One of them was shattered in one corner--package arrived damaged with Amazon repair tape all over it (Really, Amazon? It said fragile on the outside; you dropped it and delivered it anyway? Ridiculous). Another one looked fine till we plugged it in to test it, and the lighted ring around the magnification mirror wouldn't come on. So, now we have to send that one back, too. Otherwise, the mirrors looked and worked exactly as expected. Let's see how long they last...

Electrician made me buy a clock outlet--but you don't need it. Standard receptical is fine. Great look for a remodeled bathroom. The antifog feature is useful in a bathroom with no windows. The backlight is perfect for a nightlight. The hardware included for installation keeps the mirror safe and level on the wall.

This item was sent to a freight forwarder for repacking for it's final destination and they laid this flat and stacked around 300kg on top of it when it was clearly marked fragile and mirror! I had been waiting weeks for this and got so upset thinking it was likely to be broken but to my shock, it was packaged to well and tight there was no damage whatsoever!! Fitting took less than 30 minutes (wiring was all ready) and works perfectly!!TIP - If you have porcelain tiles you will need a diamond drill bit to get through them and keep cooling it with dipping the bit in water every 10 seconds or so and keep spraying water with a spray bottle onto the hole while drilling to keep it cool, this will drill the hole quicker and also prevent cracking :)

These are great for mirror lights they remember how bright and what color lighting even after you turn off switch
