Me experience with the mic is quite good. I haven't personally heard from the other side so I can't say it's super high quality, but the noise isolation is good. I work in my laundry room currently (remodeling) and have asked people if they're hearing background noise while sitting 3 feet to the side of a running dryer and they say they hear no background noise.
