I bought the bamboo magnetic knive holder. It's made very sturdy & can easily hold 16-20 knives including large butcher & carving knives. It comes in 2 pieces, the main magnetic "wall" & the base which you have to attach with the provided hardware. I didn't have any issues putting it together like some, the trick is to set the wall into the base the way the holes line up the best, then screw the screws in a little at a time to see if any screws look like they're going in crooked, if it looks good start tightening them like you would a car tire (opposite screws as you go). I've read several reviews complaining about how hard it was to attach the base but I don't think the issue is the holes not lining up like people say, it felt more like the pre-drilled holes are not perfectly straight which makes it seem like they don't line up. Just use a drill to make them straight or do what I did & use some elbow grease & force the screw to go straight BEFORE putting on the base, then unscrew the screws & attach the base, not allowing it to follow the pre-drilled hole. Only 1 of my holes were not drilled straight so I didn't have much issue. Like I said the holes all lined up on mine but the pre-drilled holes into the wall don't seem to be drilled perfectly straight which causes the issue. The only other issue I see some people may not like is that the weight of some knives make them slide down the wall. The magnets seem to pull them tight to the wall but also slightly downwards. Most knives have a handle which stops them from sliding down by hitting the top of the wall. Butter knives or knives with a smooth handle will definitely stay attached but may slide down or rotate one way or the other but honestly I don't know how you could fix this with a magnetic knife holder unless you used magnets so strong you couldn't get the knife off. All in all I'm VERY IMPRESSED & happy I made the purchase & would definitely recommend buying it.

It's a knife holder, its magnetic, it works... However i docked a star because it is clearly not as dark as the product pictures lead you to believe. Going through customer photos i would say you never know what color you're going to get...

The magnet is very strong and holes knives securely. The only downside is shorter knives. Don’t hold as securely I’m assuming the magnet is located a little further down into the wood and it’s difficult for the blade to reach the full connection with it. This works great for a kitchen with limited space due to its slender structure.

I like being able to keep the knives on the counter where they are handy to get to and not in a drawer . The magnets are very strong so they will not fall off the wood is heavy duty would purchase again.

I'm not too impressed with my knife block. the magnets do not go up too high so it has trouble holding my shorter knives and I have to physically hold the block down if I'm trying to remove other knives as the base is not very heavy and it will rock otherwise. it does the job.

I recently moved and downsized to a smaller home. My kitchen has very little storage and I wanted something attractive for my good knives. This knife block I absolutely love! It handles all my knives.

Bamboo, sturdy but sustainable. Magnets work on both sides.Solves knife jumble in a drawer. Far superior to a knife holder with limited slots for certain knife sizes. The sizes & styles of the knives are always visible--easy to select & easy to return to the holder. You'll love it. After 30 years with a jumble, we do.

I love this product. I hate the wooden knife her that's a square. I never know what might have fallen in the slots given us upset tummies. With so many grown kids and adults using my knifes I needed something I could be absolutely sure my knifes where clean at every use. When I pull a knife off of the block I can see under the knife to be sure. Plus I can get a larger amount of knifes on this 2 sidled block. Some of my knifes are very pretty its nice to see the prints on them as well. I'm so happy I tried this item. I hope it will make your life just a little better like it did for this mamma / grandmother.
