Socks for Cycling? Maybe I just have cold feet...
These are good quality, wool socks but I can't say that they keep my feet warm enough in my cycling shoes, even when wearing neoprene cycling "bootie" covers over my shoes. When weather is in the 30's or low 40's (F) my toes get cold in about 30 mins. I purchased some toe warmers and they help. Bear in mind, my review involves cycling where I'm moving and creating my own wind-chill factor. I probably need to buy a good pair of winter cycling shoes for next year.Anyway, the socks work better than any other socks I own and they're not as heavy as some winter socks I have. They do wick away moisture and I can get a few cycling sessions between washes.

My Favorite Socks For Cold Weather Biking
I now own 4 pairs of DeFeet Men's Woolie Boolie 6-Inch socks. I originally purchased 2 pair, liked them a lot & ordered 2 additional pair. I ordered the Large, I wear size US 9.5-10 shoes, & these fit great.I’ve worn the socks while MTB, trail & path cycling in temperatures ranging from 40F & 18F (4C & -7C). In the colder temps I did wear neoprene shoe covers as well, my feet remained warm. These are my favorite socks for cold weather riding. I have not had any issues w/sweat. Sure, when I’m really getting after it, my feet sweat. When they do, the socks do not get soaked. They dry quickly. This was a surprise to me. I had fully expected sweat soaking the wool socks would be an issue. Maybe this is thanks to the type of wool, Merino wool. From what I understand, Merino wool is thinner fibers, which supposedly allows for the wool to be “closer” to the skin while also allowing for air to pass through the material. This is said to be perfect for wicking sweat away from the skin. I’m not sure if this is what’s happening, I just know theses socks do wick sweat away. As far as durability, I cannot comment on that yet. This is the first winter I’m wearing these socks. I wash the socks in cold water & hang dry. So far, I’ve not seen any issues. These socks have not made my Vans feel tight when wearing like other cold weather wearables I’ve tried.I know these socks are pricey, I wish they were cheaper. However, I think they’ll be worth the price as long as they hold up for a couple seasons. Thanks for taking time to read my review, I hope you found it helpful.

Loyal customer, but heel wears out very quickly
Dear Woolie Boolie, I now own 12 pairs of your socks because I do love them. But every single pair gets worn out in the heels VERY quickly. I can't even make it through a season alternating many pairs. I will change my review IF you contact me and send replacement pairs. Otherwise, I will need to pursue a competitive product this winter to see if their heel lasts longer. Yes, every single pair does this.

Best Mountain Biking Sock Ever
I've been using these for years. Wool breathes so well and doesn't absorb sweat...seems to just evaporate it or something. These are pretty thick and comfortable and no matter how hot it is they never soak with sweat and my feet feel totally dry. Highly recommended.

LOVE THESE!
I bought these for cold weather riding. (Cold weather is between 55 and 68 deg F.) I have found these socks to be extremely comfortable. My feet never get cold in these socks. They do not bunch in my shoes, slide around, or chafe my feet. They are the best cold weather riding socks I own. In colder weather I combine them with toe covers over my shoes...

Amazing socks.
Never thought I'd call a pair of socks amazing, but these socks we're game changers for me. My brother originally bought me these socks for mountain biking in the winter, but the more I wear them the more I love them. I have about 10 pair of them now and wear them year round. They are a thick padded sock that fits snug which makes them very comfortable. Even though they are wool type socks they aren't itchy and they're great at keeping your feet warm in the winter and surprisingly enough cooler in the summer. I wear steel toed work boots for my job and it makes them much more comfortable to wear. I'm not having to change sweety socks half way through the day like I did when I wore cotton socks. If your looking for a great fitting pair of socks that don't bunch up and keep your feet from feeling sweety and nasty these are for you!BTW I wear a size 10 shoe and the medium size fit me perfect.

Great gift for the cyclists in your life
Gave these a gift to a mountain/cross cyclist - he said he already had a pair he liked so much that he had been thinking about buying another pair before I got these for him!

Warmest socks I have owned - very snug and toasty!
I have previously owned the 3 inch cuff and was very pleased witht the product so decided to go for the 6 inch cuff. I spent 15 months in Winnipeg, Canada where I regularly cycled to work in minus 20 to minus 40 degrees. I wore these socks with another pair and found these to be by far the warmest of all the different wooly winter socks I owned. They are a very nice snug fit and do no have any annoying seams, the seams are very small and well done. Very warm socks!

Toastie toes
The warmest cycling socks, which you will never want to take off once you have put them on. Don't be tempted to tumble-dry or they might shrink.
