Pearl iZUMi Women's Sun Knees

Extremely well made and comfortable. It's a credit to the design and craftsmanship that these are actually leg specific. (The one with the red tag is the left leg.) Somewhat bigger than I had expected. Wish I had ordered medium, and a did when I ordered another pair in white.Update: I now have both colors. The white shows dirt, but it's also cooler in direct sun than the black. On a clear, calm day (September 1 in Iowa) around noon, with the ambient temperature about 70, I used an instant read thermometer to measure the temperatures under the top layer of black and white coolers. I recorded differential temperature 13 times and found the black (surprise) was always warmer and by an average of 11.5 degrees F.

I do not have typical biker legs--I am sort of thin in the thighs, but I have wet the top of these and that keeps them from slipping down while riding. They still slip down if I get off the bike and walk. A size smaller would likely be too tight in the calf area for me. But I have not had a sunburn on my knees since I started wearing them on my 3-4 hour rides.

I always have a difficult time trying to figure out how to dress when the temps are around 58-65F. Using Pearl Izumi's regular Knee Warmers are too hot, especially when I climb. These Sun Knees are PERFECT for spring/autumn riding. Not thick at all and gives enough warmth from the chilly rides.

Top elastic wasn't fully attached, so poor quality from the manufacturer. I can't wear them without fear of tearing them.

Working great in 90-100 degree heat on 2 hour ebike rides. The top of my legs don't feel like they are burning in direct sun/heat anymore. Fit is just a bit loose, suggest buy one size smaller since these stretch well.

Fits well. Price a bit higher than expected

I am a 220 pounder, and the mediums kept sliding off of my knees...poor fit/sizing
