ST&G's Marvellous Map of Great British Place Names (Marvellous Maps)

This is well-made, high quality product very well presented but the buyer should perhaps be aware that the manufacturer's discription - 'slightly cheeky' - is, in my opinion, more than a little tame. Most of the funny names are double entendre of the bodily variety which even The Two Ronnies might have blanched at. They've chosen a fair few place names which are homophones for the rawest type of Anglo-Saxon. Let's put it like this: if you like Frankie Boyle you won't be offended; if Tim Vine is more your cup of tea, you might want to give this a miss.

I might have got my hopes up a little too high but i expected a pristine map of very high quality as i paid over £10 for what is essentially a novelty piece of paper. It was also intended as a gift. Came with a smudge/scratch mark on the front and a bad crease at the top. Not impressed. Cant fault the delivery, it was very fast. The actual map itself is as described some tame names, some... not so tame lol. Just personally not happy paying so much and recieving this kind of quality.

OK, so this isn't the most conventional map and it is certainly a novelty item rather than a serious product. But, when looking for ideas for a teenage boy's Christmas present who doesn't want anything....then this will at least raise some smiles and be shared amongst his friends.The map is of your standard UK ordinance survey size/quality (for a foldable map) and the reverse contains so much information and the ability to plan a journey around some of the rudest place names in the country.Definitely not for the prudish out there, but then again, these places actually exist. It's so interesting looking at the local area through new eyes.Recommended for a laugh!

Bought for a teenage boy and he has found it hilarious! It has kept him off his phone which is incredible. He’s also really pleased with the link to OS maps (he’s in scouts). Best present I’ve bought for him in a long long time.

Hilarious map of silly and naughty sounding places... buy this for anyone poorly and stuck at home and unless they are a total prude they’ll laugh their head off! Some obvious ones but countless others you’ll probably never have heard of... once you’ve peed yourself over it, gift it to someone who needs a smile, like I did (she loved it too) . Worth buying for the laugh... you could also frame it somewhere like your loo!
