MegaGear Leather Camera Case Compatible with Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark II, E-M10 (14-42mm)

I recently bought a new travel camera, and took the opportunity to try a mirrorless camera. I've been an Olympus guy since 1976 when the OM-1 ushered in the era of smaller and lighter SLR's, so I bought one of the OM-D E-M10 models with the pancake travel lens. This camera/lens combination is too small for any of my existing cases, so I shopped around for something more appropriate. This MegaGear case caught my eye for it's retro style alone. It reminds me of the case for my first camera, a semi-automatic Kodak rangefinder in the mid'1960's. I was also impressed that all MegaGear cases are made for specific cameras. It arrived today, and it fits the camera like a glove. I really like the retro design, with metal snaps instead of the omnipresent hook & loop closures on synthetic cases. This one smells like a real, by god, camera case. The materials and workmanship are both of very high quality -- the leather is flawless and the stiching is perfect. The two pieces of the case are cut so that nothing on the camera is blocked, and access to the back and the battery is simple. Honestly, if I had seen the case before I bought it, I would have still bought it at twice the price.

Absolute perfect fit with the 14-42mm lens. I have had the case for a year now and it still looks great, and has protected my camera from a couple 4-5 foot falls. The outer lens cover portion typically does need to be removed for taking photographs. The case and camera get a lot of attention from passersby, I am very happy with this purchase. I just bought a longer telephoto lens and hoping I can get a similar case with a longer extension.

This is my third or fourth case from MegaGear (my other three were for Fuji and Sony cameras) and this one has the same hallmarks of the first ones: very sturdy, a "retro" look, and a reasonably good fit to the camera. This model fits properly, but it is a bit on the tight side, so it has to be worked in over time for the smoothest on/off operations. Because I typically use cases for camera protection when not in use, this is not really a big issue for me. If you are one of those that likes to keep the bottom part of the case permanently attached, the bottom part of the case has both a metal tripod hole and also a pivoting "door" for accessing the battery/SDXC compartment, and which snaps back into place when not open. And it should be noted that I typically have the 14-42 "EZ" lens mounted on my Olympus, so the case's "nose" is too large for that lens, but it is designed to also support the 14-42 IIR lens, so that's also not an issue. But you will not be able to mount any of the larger zoom lenses and have this case fit: it is designed for the smaller lenses. Because of its sturdiness, nice looks, relatively good fit, and reasonable price, I rate this as four stars, and can easily recommend it!Note:One other thing: the customer service for this company is excellent. One time a year or so ago, I had a problem with an order (not a quality problem, but was sent the wrong item from Amazon). I was immediately contacted by customer service, was offered a replacement item at no additional cost, and was asked if I would send, via prepaid mailer, the item I received so they could ensure there was not some design issue. As I say, it turned out I was mistakenly sent the wrong case, but how many companies jump on a problem this quickly and thoroughly? I was impressed.

Excellent quality and price, perfect fit for my new Olympus & gives it a great retro look

Bought it for Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark II. Case looks nice, seems well made, agree with others about having to unscrew the bottom to get at the battery and card (not a big deal), but slightly more bothered about the awkward fit across the top of the camera... snapping the sides seems to place a fair amount of pressure on the tallest knurled knob and there is a funny outward slant and gap at the top rear case fold.

The case fits like a glove. Love the way the camera looks with it. It enhances the retro feel and look. The PU leather (plastic leather) doesn't feel plasticky. I wish they had a cover for the pancake lens version of 14-42mm to be able to fit better in small bags etc. Great case overall for the price.

This case doesn’t fit the camera it was advertised to fit: an Olympus OM-D E-M10 II. Called Amazon “tech” support because it was offered, and that was a joke. Waste of money and time.

Big disappointment. Comes with a huge embossed logo in the back. Say goodbye to a clean and minimal case. Previous model didn’t come with that, and it doesn’t say or show anywhere in the pictures in the product page. DO NOT BUY.

Die MegaGear Kameratasche für meine Olympus OM-D E-M10 Kamera passt genau und ist sehr robust und gut verarbeitet. Man muss schon zweimal hinsehen, um zu bemerken, dass es kein Leder sondern Kunststoff ist. Ich habe mir die Kameratasche gekauft, um die Kamera möglichst schnell in Bereitschaft zu haben und nicht erst irgendwelche Reißverschlüsse und Schnallen öffnen zu müssen, um an die Kamera zu kommen. Die Kameratasche erfüllt genau diesen Zweck.Fazit: Sehr gute Funktionalität und sehr gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Ich kann die Tasche uneingeschränkt empfehlen.

Great price. Well made. Perfect fit. Not top quality leather, but definitely not ugly by any means. Very satisfied.

Parfait protège bien. Une fois monté sur l'appareil le laisser monté et fermé car le cuir a besoin de s'étirer un peu pour pas forcer.J'utilise un 50mm et 24mm avec une bague Gobe un peu épaisse. En rentrant la mise au point au minimum ça ferme sans problème.Super produit achetez sans problème.

Très bel était pour le Olympus OmD 10L’objectif du kit rentre parfaitement et le tout donne un look assez élégant à l’appareil.
