Good toy, needs creative approaches to using it. Mind the drawstring.
Note that my dog took about 5 seconds to realise she could just pick this up and all the hidden treats would fall out. I tried putting it under a chair so the legs would hold it down but that was awkward to do and didn't work well, and the non-slip backing requires more weight that his has to work, so it will slip around easily.BUT the drawstring that allows it to be wrapped up for storage works both ways! So you can pull the drawstring tight at the back and secure a weightlifting weight in there, making the item heavy enough not to be flippable unless your dog is large and strong. I found a 4kg weight fitted in well and my dog can't move it once it's weighted down. Remember to tuck the drawstring out of the way or it's an obvious attraction to a curious dog and could be harmful if your pet managed to chew it off or get tangled in it.Anyway, once weighted down and filled with treats my dog loves it and has been found sleeping on it or using it to wipe her face. Luckily it is machine washable!

Great fun for dogs
My two terriers, one of which is food led, thoroughly enjoyed snuffling around looking for their treats. Great idea much better than just giving a treat as the dog has to work for it. Lots of snuffling and wagging tails!! Could do with a few more snuggle strips. I like the pull cord which enables me to adjust the difficulty for individual dogs. A lot I looked at didn’t have this feature. Used on carpet grips well and doesn’t move and dogs didn’t attempt to pick it up. Not enough grip on tiles in kitchen and ends up doing a tour of the kitchen floor when used in this location. All in all a great little buy.

Disappointed
Bought this for my puppy, within minutes she was able to tear the green fabric and i had to retrieve small bits from her mouth, t’s not anti slip either tho it looks like it should be. There’s also a plastic grip on the pull string to draw it into a bowl, really not suitable for pup or young dog as instinct to chew on it may well break into pieces.Disappointed.

MY dog loved it!
Very keen on snuffling biscuits out of the mat. However, was so keen he chewed through the drawstring while I was watching him.! He's not able to use it as a snuffle bowl, but no problem with a flat mat. I just need to make sure he doesn't pick it up and shake the goodies out. As long as you are able to supervise, this is a good idea - but it may not buy you any spare time! I find most products designed to keep your dog busy, are overhyped, and they are very fast at working them out!!

Not safe for all dogs
Sadly my Bulldog became ill after playing with this snuffle mat he started choking and coughing lots seen by vet couldn’t find cause... gave to a family member with a different breed of dog same happened to her after playing with mat she developed terrible cough and was vomiting.

Wouldn’t buy.
If you have a puppy don’t buy they will chew it up in no time. It durable abs better quality ones in the high street. Didn’t like the quality of the product would be better stating forr a dog that doesn’t chew anything because it will be destroyed in no time. I know that may seem like common sense but I could pull these apart with no straining of trying very thin material. Shame really

Wonderful for nosework
My dog is elderly and can't be as active as he used to be. This is great for getting him moving, excited and thinking. The tightening allows you to customise the difficulty with wide open being the easiest and ideal for shy dogs while closed up more like a bowl is harder and better for more confident dogs willing to work that little bit more.

Slows down mealtimes!
This has radically slowed down the time it takes for my cockapoo to eat his meals which is why I wanted it. There is zero suction though and a more intelligent dog might just realise he could pick it up and shake all the food off! Perfect for my dog though and he loves it.
