Good buy. Highly recommend.
The Good: If you’ve ever assembled a banker box or any other type of corrugated box these will be easy for you, no instructions required. Took me about 15 minutes to put them all together. As I assembling my toddler began playing with them. He stood on them, threw them, knocked them down, used other toys to knock them down, and jumped from one box to the next. He continued to solo play with them all for 45-50 minutes. I call it a win.The Bad: There are only four larger boxes. One of the boxes had splitting cardboard so that made that particular box less sturdy.Tips: Make sure the inside flaps are aligned and straight. If not, the box will bow giving it a more of a curved side and make stacking them frustrating for the youngster.Comparative for size: Small box = 1 lb butter, Med box = single frozen pizza box, Large box= shoe box

An Old Fashioned, Honest-to-Goodness TOY
Melissa and Doug 24 pc Basic Cardboard Blocks I bought this set of blocks for my two-year-old granddaughter (who is definitely one of those Lake Wobegone children who is "above average," if I do say so myself!) and she LOVES these blocks. So far she has built trains, walls, and the occasional tower. She loves building little "rooms" and stepping in and out of them. And she loves involving her mom and dad in this play.Large cardboard blocks are some of the best classic, interactive, creative, no-end-to-fun toys ever invented. The large size of the blocks helps a little one feel powerful when they build, and allows them to impact their environment in a very observable way. They are a wonderful way to experiment with space, and to experience autonomy and creation! This set from Melissa and Doug is brighter and prettier than the ones I remember using with my own children, and offer more options because of the three modular sizes included in the set: full size red blocks, half size blue blocks, and quarter size yellow blocks. My only regret is that I didn't buy a LARGER set! They are also very sturdy, although it's a bit early to tell how long they will hold up. My granddaughter is able to stand on them without warping, and she's not a lightweight.

Christmas gift for a 2 year old
When I first purchased these I was very skeptical that they were going to be torn apart and broken for January. Then while putting them together I realized that they were sturdy. Now my 2, 11 & 13 year old all have a ball building them up, knocking them down and throwing them all around my house. Definitely would buy these again before buying the little blocks.

Lots of fun
Thsi was a gift for my 18 month old grandson. Of course his older sisters play with the blocks too. The whole family put them together so assembly was pretty easy-- the 7 year old had no problem assembling and the 4-1/2 year old was able to do it with a little help. all the kids love playing with them

Melissa & Doug 24 Pc Basic Cardboard Blocks
I bought these for our grandchildren (ages 11mos & 2 1/2 yrs) to play with when they came for a 2 mo. visit from the UK. They were delighted & had many fun moments building the London Bridge & other towers / buildings, with the help of their older cousins ages 6 & 8. They are made of heavy cardboard, glossy on the outside & plain on the inside. However, it only came in 3 primary colors, a few extra colors would have been better. The blocks helps teach coordination skills, imagination, colors association & counting. It would be nice if they were numbered to help teach counting with coralation to them. Overall this is a good product worth the investment for the fun the children can have. You have to make the blocks, instructions are simple & they are perferated & easy to do.

Cardboard brick blocks
These are a MUST! The samll kids and up enjoy building, and of course knocking down, their towers. They are light, colorful and because of the three differnt shapes can encourage spatial decisions...or not! I find some think very ernestly about their towering designs, while others just put one on top of the other- no matter its size or shape. So far they have held up very well. Standing on them will quickly destroy them but so far, all the kids in the play group have not even considered doing so. My kids had these and they are now in their late teens. I actually still use them to put under items on the very top of my kitchen cabinets so the decorative item sits higher and is more visible. They were much more expensive than when I bought them for my kids. I got 48 blocks for 10 dollars back then, but times do change. Hope this helps!

Great
My kids love these! The downsides? They are space consuming which should be expected with any product such as this. It took me approximately a half hour to put them all together which was a pain, but it was easy to do and if they came assembled shipping and storage would be unreasonable for the sellers. They do support a lot of weight, but are not resistant to things such as scratches and of course spills. I would also say they are slightly pricey for being just cardboard. The positives? Hours of fun! Build walls and houses that kids can fit in (may want more blocks to do this). Allows kids to be creative. Overall a great buy and I would recommend.

Recomendables
