LA-CO42049 Slic-Tite Premium Thread Sealant Paste with PTFE, -50 to 500 Degree F Temperature, 1 qt Jar with Brush in Cap

I have a pool pump, with a hard plastic housing. I accidentally screwed the male part too far down into the female hole and the fittings leaked. My bad. So I was looking for something to really seal the parts once I refitted them. Unfortunately, after I gooped up the parts with this thread sealant, let it sit a few hours I went back and it still leaked a little bit. I ended up having to purchase another brand that sealed it up. I suspect had I never screwed the male fitting down too tight this sealant may have worked (I want to be fair). But in my case, I needed to have a sealant that made up for my mistake.

I bought this based on the recommendation of another biodiesel manufacturer, but I've been disappointed by its performance with 100% biodiesel. I have found that traditional oil-tolerant PTFE tape provides a better seal in applications where you are pumping 100% biodiesel at ~135 degrees F and under pressure. Too bad, because I find this stuff easier to work with than tape.
