From contractors, to installers to interior designers - they are all impressed - and when they ask where I got it and how much I paid, they are amazed. The grid strainer is a MUST as it saves the floor of the sink from scratches and makes cleaning it a bit easier. Note: If you have a garbage disposal, you may need an adapter piece that is not included with the drain. I have a 36 inch base cabinet, and thinking the sink like any other apron/farmhouse sink would have a hangover on the sides at the top. Boy was I wrong, the overhang on this sink starts at the very bottom. So if you were planning on installing the sink to have your counter top support it, it will not work. This sink needs to either be flushed with your counter top or undermounted. This is a very beautiful sink, I wished I could of kept it and had it installed, but unfortunately my Ikea cabinets are not designed to have this sink installed. You need 36 inches of space to place the sink inside. So your cabinets need to be at least 38 inches wide, otherwise the sink is just going to sit on top of your cabinet wall which you'll have to cut and modify. Other than that, gorgeous sink. Vigo didn't have the proper dimensions which screwed me from trying to get it installed. So I'm rating it a 3 star.

Pain in the neck to clean
Although this is definitely a show case piece in my kitchen, it is somewhat of a show dog requiring tedious cleaning. It shows water spots, is prone to rust if you don't rinse it out daily, and the worst part is trying to flush small food particles into the center of the sink. The drain should have been positioned in the back corner so the faucet could push all food bits in one area. The slope to the drain is so insignificant that it doesn't help either. Trying to circle with the faucet 'round and round to get all the bits down the drain in the center is like trying to shoo flies out of a porthole. It is lovely to look at but tedious to maintain.

was so excited to add this to our newly remodeled ...
was so excited to add this to our newly remodeled Kitchen, but within a week we started seeing small rust spots...it's already mounted and installed so we are unable to do anything about it except make sure we rinse it out AND dry it everytime we use it.
