Yes and yes. The bands last a long time. I used them 3 days a week for 2 years before replacing some of them. They are definitely worth spending money on. You can get yourself a pull-up bar for your doorway for 25-30 dollars at wal-mart, or on amazon, and you’ll be all set to go. The pull-up bars are awesome too.

Q: I keep seeing people mentioning using multiple bands at once for pull ups. How would I use 2 bands for this? do I just put one foot in each band?

We use multiple bands in our gym for pull ups. This helps to find the right amount of assistance to perform the movement and still get a physical benefit. When using multiple bands, afix them side by side (not on top of each other or tied together). This makes it easier especially when having to change a band or add or subtract a band while working out. As for using bands for pull ups, DO NOT put both feet in the bands. This is a safety issue. Rather, put one foot in the bands and rest the second foot on top of the banded foot. That way you have an easy escape. Hope this helps. Great. Bought the black one and it was still pretty tough to do even three pull ups. Can do about 6 now. Not sure I'll ever not need a band at all but I can dream.
