12 Volt DC Dimmer for LED, Halogen, Incandescent - RV, Auto, Truck, Marine, and Strip Lighting - Long Shaft - Silver

I originally ordered a wall mount type 12v dimmer, and returned it when it didn't work for my application. That unit needed a separate ground lead to the LED fixture. That ground was not available, since it was buried in the ceiling of my RV. This type only needs a ground (any ground) of the vehicle. I used the "simplified installation" wiring instruction and it worked perfectly. I even retained use of the 3-way switch this dimmer is connected to (by using the feed line). Definitely glad I bought it.Update: I just bought a second unit to control the LED light strip under my RV awning. Works perfectly. I like the fact that it has a clip off feature when turning fully counter-clockwise.

Very easy to install. Works as advertised.

I have 2 of these in my setup 1 for 2 LEDs and the other for 4 LEDs. The one for 4 LEDs has broken twice after little use. I would not recommend them for 4 LEDs. The other one has never broken. Otherwise it works well and goes very dim and does not buzz.

The dimmer is a very nice thing to have,BUT, they are pretty expensive! Bought 2 and 1 has failed. That part I DONT like at this price. However, I will replace WITH the warranty.

Very nice quality product. Using it to dim a 18w LED bow light on my kayak. Love the size, didn't have much space to locate the switch and because it's small - it worked out perfectly. Love It!

Absolute garbage, $30 punishment for gathering up the materials for my project before they were needed. Now I can't return this defective POS.My dimmable LED lights work great but this dimmer would only do turn them on at one dimmed position, no ability to turn it up.

We ordered 3 and have had to replace them due to static electricity. It kills them ... they still work as an on and off switch but no longer dim.

I bought one of these with the long shaft to try in our new 5th wheel on the factory installed LED overhead interior lights and I LOVE it. The leds above the door were too bright for our taste at night, so I installed this and now we don't get blinded when we go into our 5th wheel at night. I am ordering another to replace the factory dimmer switch for three other led fixtures, because these dim the leds more than the much larger factory dimmer. I just wish I had found the black knob before I placed my order. BTW, I had to use the two wire hookup, but didn't notice any difference in function of the dimmer.
