Tetra ReptoMin Floating Food Sticks, for Aquatic Turtles, Newts and Frogs, 1.43 Pounds

I switched to these for my turtles and noticed a big difference in how eagerly they eat at feeding time. These sticks float nicely on the water’s surface, which makes it easy for all my turtles to nibble without struggling. The formula seems nutritious and balanced; their shells and activity level have been great since I started using it. The 1.43 lb lasts a good while, so it’s a solid value for frequent feedings.

We have four aquatic turtles, and all four appear to love these floating food sticks. I am no turtle expert, but these seem to to provide complete nutrition for ours. We only rarely need to provide alternates. These floating sticks are a good size. We have one tiny turtle (shell slightly larger than a golf ball), one medium-sized, and two larger turtles (shell more like a volley ball), and we have no problem feeding all three with this sticks just as they are. As long as we don't over-feed the turtles, these sticks don't make a big mess of the tank. This container (5.5 lbs) is no joke. It is absolutely huge. If you have enough turtles to feed, as we do, this can an economical way to feed them -- that is, if you get it at a good price (the price seems to vary rather dramatically from time to time). It was less than $100 when we ordered, which made it a good value per pound. And, as a side note, our cats strangely (at least it seems strange to me) love these as well. As for aquatic turtle food, it seems hard to do better this (and we have tried many).

This is a great buy for multiple turtles, compact container and easy open. Our turtles favorite by far and the price is wonderful since most pet stores only sell the smaller sizes. Glad you offer this👍

Great food for my aquatic turtles. My turtles have always eaten these and seem to enjoy them. They float on top of the water. If they don't eat it right away, as expected, the pieces get soggy but either get sucked up by the filter or they eat it. The large tub last a long while with 3 adult YBS and I don't find that changes color, texture, smell, but I also portion out into a smaller container that is opened daily vs the big tub being opened daily and its kept inside out of any heat or direct sunlight.

Good food

Yes, these are for turtles, but they are also appropriate for large South American community tanks. Sometimes my pacu will go for days without eating because he will gorge himself on this particular pellet. They have a lot of shrimp meal and A bit of spirulina. For those who don't know, spirulina is the color food for fish with blue pigment, so it keeps my turquoise rainbows and giant danios looking their best. When I had a silver* orangefinned loach, he looked amazing. Unfortunately my pacu didn't like him, likely because they were fighting over this particular food. My 23-year-old pacu rammed him T-Bone and that was that. 😭😭😭. *Dorsal fin of Silver botia is blue. "True" Blue botias have red dorsal fin.

My turtles love this stick, in fact the one won't eat at all unless it is this brand the bugger! They are pretty old, I've had them for almost 20 yrs I believe and I've always fed them sticks and this is my go-to brand for sure. It stinks a bit but I know its real and healthy for my turtles.

Rien à dire pour la rapidité et la qualité du produit et le livreur très sympathique et souriant, super de ce côté, le seule problème le couvercle était défoncé quand j'ai reçu. Un peu dommage, mais j'ai pu transférer les granules dans un contenant hermétique.
