Exactly what I needed, for a few months.
I am running DragonFly BSD (a fork of FreeBSD) on a Lenovo ThinkPad X131e. No working wireless driver available, but ethernet drivers are abundant. I use this as a WiFi dongle that only requires USB power and a working ethernet port. Previously, I was plugging the ThinkPad into the LAN port of an Airport Express, which worked great at a desk, but with this, I can fully appreciate the portable nature of the ThinkPad.The "Quick Setting Guide" was straightforward, and setup only required: 1. obtaining an IP from dhcp. 2. going to http://vonets.cfg/ in my browser. 3. selecting my WiFi network. 4. restarting through the web GUI.I ordered it the night of the 8th, and received it in the mail on the 11th (no weekend). Sent from California, to Washington State. One thing to note is that this is 150Mbps, meaning this only has a single antenna, and is not MIMO, meaning that it is naturally more vulnerable to path interference than a 300Mbps or 450Mbps device. Take this into account when setting up your network. I already have my Airport Express repeating at a fixed point, so roaming around with this device works great for me. If you have trouble connecting with this device, try moving both devices even just a few inches.*Edit*It stopped working after a few months. I used it all the time, and it often got very hot. Got 3 stars for working as expected for the price. Replaced it with a TP-LINK MR3020.

It's okay, but just okay.
It does work. As a bridge only (which is what I wanted). The VAP11N is basically a subset of the VAR11N. The VAR11N does routing too.I didn't want the repeater function, but there doesn't appear to be any way to turn it off. The best you can do on that score appears to be to turn SSID broadcasting on the repeater off.It does not want to talk to a Windows CE 4.0 Internet Explorer browser. When it sees that user agent string it's web interface does not respond.I like the extremely wide voltage range that it is capable of operating with. That is an extremely handy feature that you just don't see on many devices. A real plus!

Works fine
Works as advertised. Connected to a slingbox 350. Would give it 5 stars if it were easily installed. What a pain it was

Good one!
Easy and quick to configure. Once set up, any equipment with RJ45 connects via WIFI. It can also be used as a repeater.Highly recommend.

need windows for setup!
This worked out for me but it took days of emails to figure out how to set it up using Linux. I was using Firefox inside Ubuntu Linux and it would go to vonets.cfg ok and see my wireless router but it would not set up a bridge. I emailed vonets and they told me that you needed to use IE to set this up and that Firefox would not work. They were right. However, I found out that you also should have Adobe Flash player installed. Now that it is set up I can access the setup page in Linux using Firefox and connect to the bridge/repeater using Linux. It does almost double the B/G signal strength of my router to an N signal which I can send up stairs. I am quite pleased with that!
