Rolling Black Duffle Bag, 30-inch, by Goldenwing

Bought this for my teenage son who is going on a week-long trip in April and I decided it was time he stopped borrowing mine. Was hoping for something durable without breaking the bank and it appears to be just that. The fabric is rugged, seams are good, zipper works smoothly. A great find considering most of the other ones were about double the price. Very pleased!

We purchased the bag for a trip to the UK and left the bag in London for someone else to try and manage. The roller mechanism was very difficult to manage ... the bag would tip often and scrap on the ground. Actually the bag scraped so much on the ground that it tore two holes in the bottom of the case. I am not certain if the bag meets the new carry-on requirements ... the Virgin Atlantic agent did want us to check the bag because it was over sized for their requirements (he did let us go thru). I don't recommend the bag for all those reasons but if you must have ... check your airline for size requirements.

Took this on my trip to NOLA and it fit in the overhead perfectly, rolled just fine and was perfect for my trip! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because while I think it was a great buy for the price, I don't know how durable it will be long term. Travel is rough on luggage.

I purchased this duffle bag instead of buying luggage. It holds all my things with outside pockets for the small stuff. The wheels roll nicely and it is so much less bulky than a hard suitcase. Thank you, Susan Warnock

The product information for this bag indicates that it weighs 3 lbs. Actually, it is pretty close to 5 lbs. at least on our luggage scale. Doesn't sound like much . . . unless you're packing for a trip where luggage restrictions are strictly enforced and every pound counts.The telescoping handle is shorter than I expected. If you are a shorter person it would be fine. If you're tall, you will find it a little too short to be comfortable. It will work . . . you will just wish it were longer.Workmanship and materials appear to be OK considering the price of the bag.

I was disapointed in this bag. The wheels are too close together and the bag is unstable when it rolls. The handle is also too short to comfortabley pull the bag while walking. The bag only has outside pockets on one side and no inside netting or compartments. I would pass on this bag.

Very sturdy bag. Lots of pockets to put things. Great for traveling!
