Overall it is a great little tool
The Deekec Capture Camera Clip is a decent imitation of the Peak Design Capture Clip. I have used the PD version for over a year and was thinking of getting a second. I got the Deekec instead. Overall it is a great little tool.ConsThe rubber on my plate was a little loose ( easily fixable)The knobs seem to be looser in general but still tighten down fineThe small plastic piece that locks in your plate seems to be shorter than the PD one. (a little nervous about using the clip upside down for this reason)Overall finish is a little rougher but still pretty goodGrip knobs are less comfortable than PD version.ProsHolds tightScrews tighten down wellInterchangeable with PD plates (both plates fit in arca swiss style tripod heads (without quick releases))Interior of clamp has same design (helpful for matching previous grooves worn into belts)Comes with the 4 sided plateOverall if you've never used one would recommend investing in the Peak Design system but if you are looking to expand or add a second clip to a less used bag or tripod this is an excellent option. Four stars only because this and the PD are both sub $100 and in my mind that puts them in the same category for camera safety equipment. Since the PD is machined better it's hard to give the Deekec 5 stars

I will always take it if the price is right!
It's exactly like the other famous brand. They looked the same, functions the same but with less than half the price.Actually it's even better than the basic other brand's one because this one has a hole for tripod in the back plate. The more expensive one over there only has it.The blue button also rotates to prevent accidental pressing/releasing. Nice touch. It also come with an adapter for GoPro camera. Very nice touch. My only complain is that the screws for straps (those two on each side) are a little short for my padded bag straps. I had hard time putting it on. I am not sure if the other brand were the same.If you have regular bag strap, it would be no problem but ones with thick, padded strap, you should know that the screws might not be long enough.

BE CAREFUL WEARING IT ON A BELT!
Firstly, I use this thing everywhere I go now. I almost don't even bother with shoulder/neck/wrist straps any more because it either hangs on a belt or back pack strap where it doesn't flop around or it's on my camera bag strap where it's just as accessible as an over-the-shoulder sling. That said, I had some close calls recently where my camera (mirrorless with small prime) slipped off the latching mechanism and almost ate it.I was wearing the clip on my belt with the release button pointing up. The latch tab that holds the mounting plate onto the body is on the shorter side and because the plate is somewhat loose (I presume to make it easy to slide in and out), the plate can lift up and over the latching mechanism. This seems like a rather large design oversight. Looking back at reviews comparing this version and the PD version, it appears that the PD version has a slightly longer latching tab, so I don't see why this version can't have the same feature. I'm considering getting the PD version for this alone, but if you're still considering getting this version, there are a few things you can do to keep your camera from falling off.1) If you're wearing it on a belt, wear the clip with the release button pointing down and lock it. This should help keep the plate from ever lifting over the latching tab.2) There is a knob opposite the release button. That knob adjusts how tightly the plate sits in the clip body. I suggest tightening that all the way when your camera's holstered. Loosen it when you're ready to remove your camera or holstering it again. This should keep the plate from wobbling around and again, that should keep it from lifting over the latching tab.Other than that, I'm enjoying its use very much. It's solidly built, the mounting plate never comes off my camera because I can use it on my tripod (arca-swiss style mount), and I've stopped using straps thanks to this guy.
