Exact fit that replaced our cord that was stolen while camper was plugged in
The new cord works exactly as it should. And being 36 feet long makes sure that the cord works regardless of where the power aupply is located. Only negative is the cord is somewhat heavy being so long

My husband and I purchased the 36 Feet 50-Amp NU-CORD RV Cord to be used as a secondary plug in our RV. We received the RV cord and placed it in the storage in our camper for our trip out the first part of June, but when my husband went to use the plug he noticed that the Marine Locking Connector was cracked so it wouldn't lock, but will work. When I contacted the seller to see if I could get a replacement RV Cord, I was informed by the seller that the purchase was out of policy and there is only a 30 day return period.

Best price on the internet, and I spent some time searching.
Bought this for my 5th wheel so I would have one cable instead of having to use the stock cable and an extension. The cable arrived quick but just like another person posted the black locking ring was broken when it arrived. I can understand why since the ring is cheap plastic and the cable is about 27 lbs. The bouncing around during shipping could have easily broken the plastic ring. Rather than going through the drama of returning it, I crazy glued the crack and I'm sure it will work fine now sine the locking ring really doesn't hold the cable on anyway. I have a 50 amp hook up in my backyard so I tried the cable out and everything works great. Its nice to have one long cable for those sites where a standard 25 ft cable just isn't quite enough.

Fire Hazard!
This cord was offered as-new for a very good price. It was well-packaged and arrived promptly. The connectors are well made, but the outer jacket on the cord was sort of loose and a bit lightweight in comparison to other cords that I have used. I thought nothing of it, and used the cord without a problem for a couple of weeks. Then I had a one-time power supply problem that I attributed to another component in the system. At that time, I noticed that the recessed screws on the female connector were a bit chewed up, and attributed this to sloppy manufacturing in China. While using the cord under moderate loads a few days ago, I lost one side of the 50A supply and the connector melted while still plugged into my RV. I am lucky that there was not a fire. I should have followed my original instinct to return the cord when the first problem occurred. I suspect that I was sold a used cord that had been improperly repaired by someone. It was too late to return it.

Length is very nice. Doesn't roll up flat.
The length is a plus. It is longer that what is supplied with an RV. The most outer layer is loose. So during rolling up for storage, there are kinks & wrinkles that disallow a flat roll being made. The female end lacks the quick connect style. A threaded ring is provided and is not convenient and quick to connect to the RV.

So for so good. Nice cord at a great price
So for so good. Nice cord at a great price. Would of like to have seen a grab handle on the back of the male side of the plug for easier disconnect.

I was looking for a good 50 amp cord I could use to keep my fifth wheel plugged in at home that did not break the bank. Just what I was looking for, fits every need. I have a 50 amp box I installed just for the purpose of keeping power to the unit without taking my yellow cord out of the apartment. Unit has hydraulic leveling and this cord is just what the doctor ordered. Thanks
