Works Great
It does the job, but unfortunately it does not do what I require, that is to get my Epson printer to print to a thumb drive. The Electop will plug in and with a USB cable communicate to a computer (I already use the wifi to do that job). Keeping the purchase and leaving it connected to the printer in hopes that Epson may update their software to permit transferring files to a thumb drive, and to be available for use when an adapter is necessary.

may not work for usb dac
i bought these and they were perfectly fine quality. But using these my usb dac was not recognized. May work fine for other purposes but did not work out for me. But once again nothing wrong with them otherwise.

Not quite what I hoped for
This adapter might work well for communication between printer and computer, but they do not work at all for musical instruments. Hardware synthesizers and virtual instruments on a tablet cannot be played with these adapters and a midi controller. I think the product description indicates this, but I gave them a try anyway.

A Great Way to Make A Printer Cable Just a Few Inches Long
In a good audio system, this adapter allows you to build a short USB-A cable for driving an outboard DAC. This is handy to minimize RFI/EMI pickup, especially when using it with a USB/fiberoptic media converter.

One of these actually failed. I almost bought a new set of headphones.
I have a USB A-B switch to control whether I listen to speakers or headphones. Most USB switches use the old Type-A plug, which printers (for some obscure reason) still use. My speakers and headphones use Type-B. I used these adapters to fit the A-B switch, but a few weeks later my headphones stopped working. I ALMOST got a new set of (expensive) headphones before I tried swapping the channels and determined that the adapter was faulty. In all my 40+ years of experience in cable adapters (RS-232, RJ-45, SCSI 1/2/3) I have NEVER actually encountered a faulty adapter of ANY kind Until now.

Works great for when you have a USB A to USB A cable
So I redone my office to where my printer is on the other side of the office. I had a lot of USB A to USB A cables. The cable that had a USB printer adapter was not long enough for my needs. Hence I researched and found this adapter. It's just like any other adapter out there. You connect the cables and it just works. Printing is pretty straightforward. Overall I'm quite happy with this product. Only thing I would like to see in the future is maybe a "1 pack" adapter. I only needed one and the other went to my large extra cable collection.

Have a working printer. Buy a brand new wireless printer or by an adapter. Buy a brand new wireless printer or by an adapter. Buy a brand new wireless $100 printer or by an $5 adapter. I decided to buy the adapter ! I have a couple wireless dongles around so with that and this new adapter, I've saved some cash and don't need to buy a new printer. ( wireless dongles are only in the $10 range anyways if someone does not have ) Not tones of stuff to say about this as it only connect two different computer devices together however it does work and works well. Zero lag or anything with this adapter. The two sides of this adapter are nice and tight so when you put in your cables it will hold them strong. Just like the listing states " USB 2.0 A Female to USB B " and this is correct. For anyone wanting to do a quick change over of to get a wireless or bluetooth ability I can easily recommend this. Helpful, is how I hope you find my review.
