Dorman 524-089 Front Driver Side Lower Suspension Control Arm and Ball Joint Assembly Compatible with Select Fiat Models

Put this in my fiat 500, 8 months later bushings are worn out and now have to replace this unit. Poorly made. Do not buy unless you want to replace it again

These were for a 2012 Fiat 500, the quality fit and finish were as good as OEM, what a pain it is to install these wishbones on a Fiat 500.Basically:Front bumper cover off, a total of 10 bolts and 8 screws.Gently unlatch the clips on the sides of the bumper cover, lower cover to floor unplug lights, remove cover from working area.Unbolt 4 bolts each side of the front crash bar and remove.Unbolt frame brace and remove.Unbolt the 2 bolts holding the bar that the crash bar was bolted to.Now you can start work on the actual wishbone.Unbolt and remove the bolt securing the ball joint to the hub, remove ball joint from hub.Remove the 2 remaining bolts holding in the wishbone in, the wishbone can then be removed from the car. It's a little fiddly but it will come out, install new wishbone in reverse as you uninstall it.Only one side was bad on my car, but for $45 for a new wishbone I decided to replace the other side too whilst I had the car apart.

The OEM Abarth control arms are cast metal so they are stronger than these but these work fine and fit perfectly. Unless you’re tracking the car they are good cheap replacement option.
